Marvel nemesis 2 got rushed down. ROMed and then snapped out

I can’t wait to waggle wave dash…

It’s a sad day for the #1 ranked marvel nemesis player:sad:…

For those that have fortunately never played this brokenass sorry excuse for a 3d fighter i hope u get a chuckle out of the fact that magneto is broken tier in that game.

The only thing I would enjoy is bitchslapping people while doing a snapback.

Wii got converters unlike 360. 360 has live though. MvC2 on live with GGPO-infused technology and MS/achievement point money matches would be like crack. Imagine taking the Johnson brothers MS points paid for with their mom’s credit card or taking the achievement points they earned for “beating” Barney and Friends Slip and Slide WWE Pro Wrestling Fingerbang 2009.

What are the chances of Capcom buying the license back?

Quite a few times over on the Capcom boards they’ve sited the exact date when EA’s License was up, originally it was Janary 2009. Whoa, a year early.

Ono said he’d like to work on a Marvel vs. Capcom.

Even a Marvel rep commented on how he’d like Capcom to work on another Marvel game (there’s at least 2 threads on that one here at SRK).

New game aside, Capcom would want to aquire it so they could re-release the older Marvel games since they couldn’t do that before. With online play too.

I mean you never know what’s going to happen, but things look pretty good.

crosses fingers

I highly doubt capcom could afford this, the marvel license has gone way up in price the last 5 or 6 years.

please Capcom spend that dough we want more VS games!!

Awesome. If they make one it better be sprite based though. I mean sure SFIV can get away for using 3D models but these characters should look like they do in the comics!

Marvel rep’s name is Justin Lambros. Exact quote -

“I’m a huge 2D fighting fan … the Marvel vs. Capcom stuff has a definite close place in my heart, so we definitely wanna see that stuff live on.”

Again, even if it’s just for porting older games with online play it’s still a good thing.

Yo, MvC3 would be DUMB fucking hype, but something tells me they’d just never ever, ever, ever match MvC2, and that we’d still end up playing MvC2 anyway.

Shit, who cares, LETS GET GOING ALREADY

I still think Capcom will wait and see how Street Fighter IV and HD Remix do on the market before taking action on anything.

actually if capcom wants the marvel license back they should act fast because some other company may be interested in marvel sooner than later.

Marvel isn’t just going to sell the license to the highest, earliest bidder though. If all they were interested in is money, they would’ve been content to let EA keep pumping out shitty games. Clearly, they want to go with a company that will release well-received games that will enhance the reputation of the Marvel franchise, and Capcom have a history of doing that.

does this mean the marvel license is up for grabs now? because in one of the 1up interviews with the sf4 director, he says he would love to make a new mvc

Yeah, but it will depend on both Capcom and Marvel.

Capcom will have to come up with the money and the proper game then Marvel has to sign off on it. Knowing Marvel as it is now, they will definately want a bigger piece of the pie then back when the Marvel games first dropped, so it really depends on the higher ups at both companies.

Hopefully, they might be willing to take a chance on a new game although a rerelease on Live or PSN is probably more likely.

All Capcom has to do is pump in 25 or more new characters (13 Capcom, 13 Marvel), re-jig a few things but keep the basically template of MvC2 gameplay intact and voila-- MvC3. DON’T THINK TO HARD ABOUT THIS CAPCOM.

I’d rather have them rebalance the game and make new sprites.

Morrigan will stay the same.
