Remember back when music customization was big and everybody was doing it? Now, people have figured out how to edit and go into the data files to change character color outfits/moves. and we all know little things like that can definitely impact and make the game a lot more enjoyable and fun.
Question : whats next? backround stages? XvSF / MvSF / IIIstrike stages? has it been brought up before or talked about? 
they will find out how to customize the damage, so that servebot will do massive damage and the game will be beyond broken
i’m assuming that the part of the game that does the damage is actually part of the coding. You would have to guess what the name of the file is thats the actual coding, then probably be able to understand the programming language its in and who’ knows how its coded. Sure it could possibly be done but I don’t know if someone is going to put in the time to figure it out.
yea, I believe you can create new stages in mvc2. I asked about this in the tech talk section and didn’t get much of a response. If you actually knew 3d graphics desgin, you could probably create a new stage based on the previous stage dimensions. imo, we can have cleaner 2d stages to minimize slow down as opposed to 3d ones. Even smaller filed 3d stages could possibly result in less slow down. This is assuming that the 3d stages are the root of the slow down problem.
I think the reason you can’t use xvsf or any other SF game stages is because of the actual size of the screen. imo, marvel is wider horizontally and vertically. So if you try to scale those older game stages in, the porportion of it would be hella off. The file extensions are probably different too but I’m sure it would be possible to overcome that problem. However, playing a fucked up staged thats all warped up would just look ugly.

hopefully u are right becuz that would make the game too broken and it would be easier to cheat etc if u make the changes very subtle, yet significant.
But, i am sure there is some crazy lunatic willing to put the time into it and do it.
I’ve seen ppl playing marvel vids on different backgrounds, like the harbour background where they are moving on the water with the ice in the background and i have seen ppl playing matches in the training room and on the abyss stage. I just always assumed that ppl just changed the file name of the background and the game just “loaded” the backgrounds based on the file name
I wonder if u could hack the background file or someone change the background images, that would be nice, like someone turn jpegs from my digital camera into background pictures

you can play on those stages in vs mode. All you gotta do is manually select it. I don’t think the game will pick those stages when you select random.

ive never seen the abyss stage in the vs mode wats up with that??

i’d like to see some background effects as normal stages (eg. broken down clock tower)
or some random stuff… replace the rats in the factory with servbots and have a 3 v 3 servbot match… omgz0rz
