Yeah i heard
It’s not going to be half as good as Lord MarVell
Hey Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions doesn’t suck! :wow: A ton of fun so far. Man after all these years Gilvezan’s voice still sounds the same. Niel made me laugh out loud when he said “That’s so Kraven!”
Would be a great week for Spidey fans if not for the last issue of O.M.I.T. coming out. :bluu: Ah well, at least after this week JQ will stop writing Spidey. :party:
I know. The quick reveal as to who he was, (and possible whuppin’ of the Magus), worked just so well.
My only problem is that they seem to gravitate towards Thanos a little TOO much. I understand how fucking epic he is (literally, he is my all time favourite comic book character), but damn wouldn’t it be nice to see a Silver Surfer cosmic adventure instead? It just seems like everybody wants to make their own version of Infinity Gauntlet, with Thanos and the gaining of immense power, or whatever.
I’m still wondering if Thanos died in the Cancerverse, or if there might be a Thanos vs Cancer Thanos battle.
So playing Spidey-Mang: Shattered Dimensions has given me the excuse I needed to pick up Spider-Man 2099 trades, but I wanted to ask here first and see how well received it is. Do you guys like it? Don’t like it? Just want to get an idea before I dive in.
The game is fun, the first Ultimates level had me cracking up, the continual Watchmen themed jokes and Electro’s (newly) jock like attitude was pretty fun. The game doesn’t suck, though the story is a little odd. This is indeed a good Spidey week, as the new Heroclix’s set “Web of Spider-Man” hit this week, and I am getting myself a brick come payday.
There’s only one 2099 TPB out so it’s not really pricey for you to try it out.
It’s a lot of fun. Peter David zigged wherever the original Spider-Man’s origin zagged so there’s tons of differences. It’s not Peter Parker in 2099, it’s really it’s own thing and it’s great.
This is also where organic webbing originated from that the movies where so fond of. And 616 Spidey had those for a little while and lost them because… The last issue of O.M.I.T. is STILL not going to tell us how? Maybe we’ll find out in another 80 + issues… :looney:
Spidey 2099 doesn’t web-swing though like the video game, he only glides lol! Another example of PAD going the opposite direction of Spidey whenever possible. I get why the game still had 2099 web-swing though for familiarity reasons, don’t really have a problem with it. Of course since Gilvezan’s voice is the voice I always use in my head whenever I read Spider-Man I may be bias…
Wow I thought I was the only person on srk that was hype for both the spiderman game and WoS heroclixs. I also have a brick I’m waiting on.
Yeah I know, Miguel O’Hara, I’ve been familiar with the work just haven’t read it, Spider-Man really isn’t a foreign subject to me. I assumed there was multiple TPB’s, since the one I’ve seen say’s Vol.1 on the side, guess they just didn’t want to bring the rest out…or that is all of it.
He does have those sorta gliding segments, where he just dives down and you avoid crap, if I had organic webbing and lived in a corporate future with flying cars and big ass buildings I would web swing to my heart’s content, but to each their own Miguel! My favorite level so far is the 2099 Hobby level, but my overall favorite segments are the Noir as I like the dark, gritty and very atmospheric feel of it. (Another comic line I want to get into, the Noir work as a whole looks fascinating.)
Edit at Phoenix: Oh awesome, someone else who plays Heroclix lol. I started with the very first set, been a loyal player for a while now, WoS looks pretty hype, I’m trying to collect enough pieces for a SInister Six and Dark Avengers theme team.
Edit edit: I always use 90’s Spider-Man’s voice for when I read, what I grew up on. Though I did love the 90’s Spider-Man cartoon and Spider-Man and his amazing friends, which was odd because despite sharing themes and animation work had two different voice actors.
Oh and the effect the movies used to have Spidey stick to walls with those mini talons came from Spider-Man 2099 too heh heh.
His talon stuff is cool, I always been a fan of 2099’s costume. I was mad hype for SD when they showed him off and the very Tron-like future look of his world. Right now I am halfway through act II, need to get 2099 and Ultimates down before moving on. The Cosmic spidey variation outfits are cool, plus Bag-Man!
^too good
I started playing Heroclixs when it 1st dropped to, so pretty much around 2001. It was mvc2 and then long 3 hour games of heroclixs, I see your loc is houston, one of the Tx showdowns way back when we actually play HC outside…lol ah the good old days…
Love the game!
Cool, ever want to talk Heroclix send me a PM or something. I used to have a thread on here for it, but it died pretty early on, I mostly just lurk HCRealms to get my fix when not playing.
I would kill puppies and kittens if it means getting a Nextwave video game ;.;
WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME DO THIS ELLIS?!?!?!?!?!?!
BUY OR SELL
A major character turning heel again while another will turn face
The last two posts have really confused me…

Nextwave is a comic series by Warren Ellis. It is out of continuity and pokes fun at various comic book stuff. You should really give it a read. I personally didn’t like it at first but having reread it again, it’s one of my fav. series from Marvel. I’m hoping that at least Machine Man/Aaron Stack makes it to MvC3 ;.;
Machine Man is cool, I’ll give it a looksie when I can Tizoc. I just thought you heard a rumor or something pertaining to that.
Heh it’s just that Nextwave has enough stuff in it for a scrolling 2d beat’em-up style game.
Well…
OMIT #4
[details=Spoiler]so after putting in all that effort into getting everyone’s memories erased, MJ just decides she can’t handle it and leaves, only to come back later to tell Peter to get over it? Mehhhhhhhhh
He should just leave the bullshit drama alone and date Ms. Marvel IMO.[/details]
Sounds like OMIT was as bad as I thought it would be, hopefully not to many people actually bought it.
Sano, did that Spiderman fansite review OMIT #4 yet?
