Cool. I’m not necessarily a fan of X-23 but having read the recent X-Force I’m surprised that the character didn’t annoy me. She really was her own calculating robotic little character. Not saying that in a negative way, it’s just how she acts.
Also it’s being written by Marjorie Liu who I suspect was the driving force in making me warm up to Daken as well. First issue had me at “…you mean like Spider-Man?” I haven’t read Black Widow yet, which she is also writing, but I haven’t heard anything good nor bad about it.
The only thing though is that Marvel seems to want to keep going with NYX. That definitely should not be canon. X-23 being a child prostitute…what were they thinking?
Marjorie Liu is pretty good looking for a writer. I’m never going to read her collaborations with Daniel Way, but her NYX: No Way Home miniseries was a really fun read. I never even read the original NYX, but No Way Home was good stuff.

MVC3 trailer was leaked like 5 hours ago in case anyone missed it. Waiting on an official Capcom confirmation / announcement like everyone else. :party:

I hope there another trailers or stills or something! Since it was stated that there where more characters and they where actually seen, there must be images some where.

Right now I’m just hoping that Dante and Deadpool are behind those Marvel / Capcom logos. Most def the two characters I really wanted on both sides. The one on the far right of Capcom’s side looks like Dante and one on Marvel’s side with the sword looks kinda like Deadpool.
Still after that TVC teaser we all thought was Dante that turned out to be Soki and all of those Secret Avengers teasers… BLARG guessing blows.
So my friend happened to have Black Widow #1. Asking around, a lot of people said it was awful. I wouldn’t say that. Sure, what happened to Black Widow inside was a particularly awful experience but I wouldn’t say the comic was good or bad. It’s one of those first issues that is only setting up the story and introducing to the characteristics of the protagonist. So I’m going to have to read the entire first arc to even surmise a real opinion about it.
But seriously, what happens to Black Widow is fucked up in the comic. One of the worst things that could possibly happen to you.
I liked the cover artwork for Black Widow a lot and was considering checking it out. But I don’t know, can’t say it’s a character I’m that interested in.
It’s funny because after Stan Lee tweaked her in ASM long ago she was ‘supposed’ to be like a female version of Spider-Man, but Spidey’s the last character I think of whenever I see her nowadays. Course now we have Spider-Woman running around I guess.
The only other character that was used Marvel side that could have a sword was Silver Samurai but I don’t think he ever used 2, so hopefully that is Deadpool. If not, we gotta find a way of letting people know (or at least they should know) how popular Deadpool is. The guy is awesome. Who else breaks the 4th wall like he does?

Read the two Black Widow miniseries by Richard K. Morgan, Homecoming and The Things the Say About Her. Those are straight money. They will make you believe. They also got sexy good Sienkiewicz and Sean Phillips art.
Looks like Aaron will write Wolverine’s ongoing instead of Weapon X.
He’s sending Wolverine to Hell in the first story. I liked this part of the interview, where he talks about using Satan instead of Mephisto or another Marvel Satanic stand it.
"I think of Mephisto as a more Spider-man character these days, and Satan has less baggage."
And the line of the week is “Whaddaya know? Star-Lord FTW”
Star Lord is the best. Nothing scarier than a rampaging naked Thanos and he stood toe to toe with him.
Straight up that was gangster. Fucked up what they did to my boo on the series Phyla but that might have been worth it for that scene.
McKeever’s Firestar One Shot was a great read this week. He’s really good at writing female characters. Looking forward to his Young Allies book!

I think you are confusing her with Spitfire from Captain Britain MI-13. She’s a vampire, Firestar’s not.
Firestar’s from that '80s cartoon Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends cartoon. Marvel eventually brought her into the comics.
I grew up watching that cartoon and it along with the '60s cartoon which was in reruns was my introduction to Spidey.
