Adam: the Legend of the Blue Marvel # 5

I enjoyed the issue. It starts out with Anti-man bringing up different times in human history and how “we failed”. Blue Marvel had a suggestion to defeat him and of course Big Brain Reed and Tony Stark disagrees. He smacks the avengers a little and Sentry gives him licking but of course BM smacks him out of the planet :tup: Anyone that can smack sentry like that is great to me. His wife comes in with susan richards. He has a convo with his wife of how he has failed and being a coward by not taking a stand. That was a long convo mind you it was about 6 pages. Next we cut back to the avengers getting their ass kicked and look Jan has a brief cameo. Blue Marvel comes in and basically barks orders to the avengers to defeat anti-man. In the midst of the battle BM wife was caught in friendly fire from Anti-Man. Anti-man is preaching again about equal rights. BM gets tired of him and absorbs Anti-Man. Tony approaches BM and asks if he wants to join the avengers, BM declines and BM gets a new outfit[/details]
Haha, wow, I completely forgot that Silent Dragon had a writer. Wasn’t that just a Leinil Yu artbook…? Man, that was awesome.
The Losers was fantastic and his run on Hellblazer so far is pretty decent (some dry spots, but overall I like it)…between these I think a Daredevil run would be pretty cool, especially if it’s with a guy like Leo Manco. War Machine looks great from the pages I’ve seen so far, that would be a great team.
I can’t believe that cost two whole bucks. You’re a true Namor fan. One of my friends has a bunch of the '90s series. The later issues have Jae Lee art. (Back when he used to draw with hella ink splashes and over-exaggerated anatomy, in true early '90s Image style.) I couldn’t get into those stories, though… It’s Byrne.
Although I’m willing to concede my bias - could be I just hate him enough to hate everything with his name on it.
[details=Spoiler]Issue begins with Tommy Lee Jo…I mean Norman visiting Bob and giving a psychiatric therapy, which…works…and makes sense.
Cut to the battle at hand wherein Bob is no more, and Morganna’s horde are giving the team a hard time. Ares calls for Morganna to stop this BS, but Morganna goes back in time and does something to Ares that turns him into a statue.
Bullseye manages to kill Le Fay, thus causing her hordes to disappear. Moonstone suggets getting the heck out of there before Morganna comes back again, which she does. Norman deicdes to carry Doom away to think of a way to stop Morganna. Doom explains that if Morganna can be met in a timestream before they travels through time again it will be possible to stop her. However, only Doom knows how to do this and refuses to give up the secret of this to Norman.
However, with Morganna hot on their trail, Doom gives in and both teleport via a Time Cube to stop Morganna. When they arrive, Doom is back at full strength.
A really good issue IMO and has some neat dialog-
Sentry: "You’re the Green Goblin??"
Norman: "The original one"
Sentry: “And you’re in my house?”
NohVarr: "Settle down, Spideyman.
McGarggan: "You settle down, alien boy! That thing just tried to eat me!"
Daken: “And the irony is completely lost on him.”[/details]

He shot Morganna up and killed her with a bunch of arrows! First Sentry killed her last month by ripping her head off and now this! Time Traveruu > Death! :looney:
Yeah Bullseye had me cracking up in New Ways To Die when he was tossing broken glass at Spidey and cutting him up good! :lol:

I loved the ending where Doom and Norman were standing behind Morganna and gave her that “You know you fucked up right?” look! This book is too much fun! :razzy:
My only gripe with DA is how toned down Ares is in this book, he was much more active in Mighty Avengers’ stories.
NohVarr and Daken need to do more than just crush, kill, destroy!
