New team roster for Guardians of the Galaxy

Don’t get used to them, we all know most of the other members will return sooner rather then later.

Seems kinda weak to me

Adam the blue marvel was good. I enjoyed it.

^Indeed it was-

The Blue Marvel

[details=Spoiler]Issue starts with the Avengers battling a villain, AntiMan, who is easily overpowering them (even Ares!). The battle abruptly ends when the villain disappears.
Cut back to 1962; The Blue Marvel is fighting the AntiMan, as their battle comes to conclusion, the Blue Marvel is revealed to be…a black american!
Cut to a secret meeting with the president at that period, as they discuss the background of Blue Marvel. They eventually conclude that Adam, the Blue Marvel’s true identity, needs to stop being a hero what with the racisism people were having at the time.
Throughout the later half of the issue we get flashbacks of Adam’s past in the military.
Overall a very good first issue, hope the remaining issues keep up with the quality. Art is very good too.[/details]

An OK tie-in issue, but I believe it is integral to what Luthor and Lane are up to.

Marvel Zombies 3 #2 is awesome

[details=Spoiler]Little Sky drops Jocasta and Aaron at Central Park. From there they start searching for any surviving humans to get a DNA sample from for ARMOR. As they trek through NY, they are attacked by Angel, Vulture & Falcon. The two waste them and find a building that Jocasta detects has some humans still alive in.
Porblem is the building belongs to Kingpin!
They decide to sneak in at night, but before they infiltrate, Zombie Inhumans arrive on Earth to meet Kingpin. As Aaron and Jocasta find the humans, they discover that Jocasta detected were clones bred for the Zombies to eat!
Man that spread of the zombies eating the clones was fucking sweet!
Anyway, as they feel that their mission has failed, they meet up with Kingpin’s wife, who explains to them what happened previously to this world and then agrees to give them a blood sample.
As they leave the building, Aaron tells Jocasta to go on ahead as he stays and help the clones.[/details]

This issue was fucking badass, though the art felt somewhat incomplete or such

Ultimatum #1…bad dialog, Loeb style, and Ultimate HERBIE is sarcastic? So anyways, the world is getting fucked up with storms and such and Magneto seems to be behind it.

OK in Ironman #7; why the heck is Tinkerer a bad guy again? I know the FF: SI tie-in mini didn’t serve much purpose, but the guy seemed to have washed his hands of the life of crime.
At any rate, were they trying to redeem Tony’s character in this issue? I know some revieweres/Critics/whoever didn’t like Ironman since CW, despite how good the later stories were, so was this just to show that Tony is back to the guy they knew him as before CW?

Spiderman & X-Men #1 looks good

[details=Spoiler]Skimmed through it, so here it is in a nutshell-
Kraven claims that Spidey is a mutant on TV and declares to hunt him down. One day, Peter goes to a bar where the X-Men (the original X-Men BTW!) are at as well. All is well until Kraven crashes in having picked up Spidey’s scent.
Kraven starts freaking people out, so Scott and co. suit up to stop him. However, Kraven isn’t alone; he brought along the Blob!
Peter suits up as well and helps take them both down. However, the insuing battle rages on to the streets where Kraven and Blob went on a ramapge trying to defeat the heroes.
This reaches the media and Kraven becomes a marked man. In an alleyway, Kraven is met and is given an offer by Mr. Sinister!
…who oddly looks like Jim Carry while wearing the Mask O_o[/details]

that is good to hear regarding the book.

EDIT:

Do you think that he may have the Sentry problems

Nope, from the book he seemed to have normal mentality.
Sentry is sorta like Marvel’s Miracleman IMO.

X-Men Spider-Man was great! Waited a while to read it since I wanted to read Uncanny X-Men #27 (first time Spidey met the X-Men, Iceman and Beast to be precise), X-Men #35 (where he meets the rest of the team and there are storyline elements in that story that are at play here) and X-Men #66 (the story that occurs directly before this one) off the X-Men Complete Collection DVD-Rom, sinff, sniff, LOVE my DVD-Rom!

Also love it when people play carefull attention to continuity and actually make fill in stories like this fit! McKeever used to do this all the time in Spider-Man Family which is yet another reason I miss him over at Marvel. In Spider-Man Family, with regards to fill in stories nowadays they REALLY don’t care about making these things fit at all or lazily pick a generic area where it can fit… Blarg…

X-Men Spider-Man, X-Men related continuity stuff

Spoiler

Not sure how Marvel wants to play this and I need to a little research / rereading, but now we have another possible moment when Sinister extracted Jean Grey’s DNA in order to create Madeline Pryor, if you recall he is said to have gotten her DNA long ago. LOL do you remember when they tried to say he acquired it from Jean long ago in the Wildcats crossover? Not even sure how that one will hold up with Wildcats living in one of DC’s 52 Earths right now… Course for no we gotta see how this story plays out, interesting!

Man I’m reading the posts of various people regarding blue marvel. It seems alot of people are passing up on the book because he’s an imitation of superman. Bunch of morons.

It seems the Nova corps would be back.

^Yeah you could easily figure that out from the latest Nova issue.

Also if anyone is a fan of Trauma from Avengers Initiative, make sure to read AI Special for

a shocking reveal of Trauma’s

Spoiler

father; Nightmare!

yeah for some odd reason superman type of characters are boring in marvel

anywho

Djimon Hounsou to Voice Black Panther
Source:Variety November 8, 2008

BET Networks and Marvel Animation have hired Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond) to voice to the title character in the cable network’s upcoming animated series, “The Black Panther.”

The series will be adapted from six issues of the Marvel comic of the same name, which were written in 2005 by director, producer (The Boondocks, House Party) and former BET president Reginald Hudlin.

“It’s a blessing for African Americans and minorities to have a superhero they can identify with,” said Hounsou of the character, which was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, debuted in 1966 in a Fantastic Four comic and later headlined his own volumes beginning in 1973.

Marvel just signed a director for the Captain America movie, its Joe Johnston the guy who directed Jumanji, Jurssic Park 3, and Rocketeer

Rocketeer was a good movie and so was Jumanji. JP3 was…OK.
Here’s hoping he’ll do a good job with the movie.

That guy should just do everything Black Panther. He looks and sounds perfect AKA Black as hell.

Jumanji and Rocketeer were both great movies. Here’s hoping Captain America doesn’t Jurassic Park it up.

The Safari Hunter was the man in that movie. He never gave up.

Personally…I’d love to see Ultimates 1 #1 be made into the first Cap movie.

Just read the Blue Marvel it today and wow it was a great read. I kind or knew the backstory before i read it and it is kind of cliche but KG delivers. Unfortunately he doesnt do the same for New Warriors.

Old Man Logan yo!

Wolverine #69

[details=Spoiler]
Logan manages to save Clint from his daughter, and are chased by a party. During their escape on the SpiderBuggy, an earthquake occurs and Logan and their chaser fall in.
When Logan awakes he finds Moloids eating their chasers, but Clint was alright.
Logan and Clint get out of the crater and continue their journey. They later stop at a bar and reflect on their lives, one of the people there piss off Logan, enraged Logan almost pulls out his claws.
Clint calms down Logan and they both leave the bar.
Next issue; what happened to Logan when the bad guys won.[/details]

Captain Britain #7

[details=Spoiler]Plokta manages to fool Brian and trap him in a fantasy, so as to drain his life force and magic to bring Mindless Ones to the world.
Meanwhile, Blade and Spitfire make a truce to stop fighting each other and fight off the Mindless Ones. After defeating some of them they climb through an elevator shaft to find the source of all this BS.
Along the way, Blade tells Spitfire that he ‘brought back all the vampires’, Spitfire faints as she hears this.
Does anyone have any clarification on why Blade means? I can understand if Spitfire freaked out cuz Blood is prob. back.

Elsewhere, Wisdom and co. are fighting their way through the building and Ploktas’ magic. He tries to trap Wisdom, but Knight snaps him out of it. At the same time, Brian is in his fantasy having a quiet time with Meagan, when they are attacked by Brian’s brother who seems to have killed Brain.
Issue ends with Knight being tricked by Plotka and going berserk at the fear of losing the blade again. Wisdom tells him that the sword he is NOT the Ebony Blade.
…now that I think about it, doesn’t T’challa already have it?
Feel free to write out ‘Darn you Hudlin!’[/details]
