That marvel is trying anything and everything to boost sales in the form of gimmicks as opposed to actually putting out decent reads? Welcome to like 3 years ago.
You know this is a comic book right, realism goes out the window when Steroids and cold water in 1943 kept you alive into the 2000’s. This isn’t something that is realistic for comics, it’s just a marketing ploy to try to pull new people in.
Can already tell you issues 1 and 2 will sell well, then people will lose interest when the media does, and the comic fans who kept reading are left with the mess.
Whether it is a good story or not, Steve will be back by the time Avengers 2 rolls around at the very least.
Not mad at the idea just mad at Marvel. They’ve been doing this shit for years now and it has never worked or made a lasting impact on their industry. Just a way to make a quick buck.
It gets old, I’d rather them build up these heroes on their own instead of slapping a merchandising icon on them and letting them off into the wild.
Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. And if you see the numbers the early issues sell alright, but then decline rapidly. Prompting them to cycle it over and over.
I have no idea, the whole concept is just odd to me. When I get my comic out in the wild I am just going to make every issue a #1.
I always thought comics should divide their runs into seasons like TV shows. They could make series easier to follow and help with the accessibility. If they averaged 2 seasons a year at 12 issues per season I think the industry would be better off.
you know, there can only be fucking one. Batman has stated that he is more than a man, he’s a fucking idea and legacy. I guess pandering is the “PC” thing to do.
I want a albino black panther.
Not only is that nigga gonna be white, we have the ginger bases covered. All we need is the blue eyes, and confirmed for aryan inclusion also.
Marvel and DC need to work on their quality control and advertise the runs start/end better. I think both could benefit from lowering the amount of titles released a year and focus more on quality or quantity. Who cares if you have 30 books coming out a year when only 7 are good.
In ways the casual audience can understand. I always see new comic fans confused about where to start and where they should finish with certain series. If comics had a big fat "season 1 issue 3"on the front cover they would know the sequential order to follow without having to research things.
