Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.'s "KICK-ASS"

Anybody else reading this? I missed out on the 1st issue so I picked up the reprint and the 2nd issue, and it is a pretty damn good read. I like the idea of the story and I want to see how things play out.

I read the preview pages for the first issue and I liked it. I’m sure I’ll get the TRADE, BABY. It’s about time Icon published some more comics.

i like millar and i like JRJR so I will…

WAIT FOR THE TRADE!

To not spoil anything… its about a regular kid who decides one day that his career path will be superhero. So he gets a costume and just tries to do it one day.

I picked up the first two issues. Man, that kid got OWNED! :wasted: The cover for issue 2 would make a great owned pick, though.

Yeah, I picked up issue 2 on a whim and it is pretty good. The kid appears destined to get fucked up in every issue, although that is realistically how most serious fights go. Although this issue appears to end better than the last had to.

yea I picked it up since I enjoy Millers writing, good issues, didnt know what to expect at first, but its been good, I think I will keep up with it.

I love this book it is sooo good and funny at the same time. I am one of the managers at a comics and sports card store so I scooped up some variants and regular editions of issue 1 and 2. I copped like 6 copies of 2 since they are under ordered compared to the orders of the first issue.

Yeah this is a great series so far.

kid is getting owned like thanos

I just picked up #1 and 2 and yeah…

Kickass

Spoiler

Pwnt.

This comic is awesome. This post is a year old and we’re only on issue #6, haha. Damn, they’re slow.

But its so good. I love the story and Big Daddy and Hit-Girl are crazy, but awesome. The ending to this one was nice.

On a related note, the movie is in post production, and McLovin’ is playing Red Mist, hahahahaha.

this book doesn’t try to be more than its name implies.

if that were all it accomplished, it would be pretty forgettable, but that it doesn’t take itself too seriously is one of its greatest strengths.

violence and WTF? moments combimed with an amped gosh wow factor makes it a must read every month it ships, with my copy passing through several hands before being filed away.

ugh i fucking hate nick cage though

this is a good read. thanks.

sounds interesting… i’ll check it out next time i go on a comic run…

Be forwarned that it is extremely violent and bloody…but that’s why it’s kick-ass
Hell it’s prob. my younger brother’s fav. comic book series along with Y the Last Man

it’s a deconstructionist piece, that goes in the opposite direction.

basically it covers old ground in a new way, far more grounded in reality.

man
the last page on issue 6 was crazy
i cant wait for 7

Issue #7 dropped today.

oh holy shit.

goddamn is this good. Gonna hate to see it end.

But I hope when it does, that Dave tears up Katie Deauxma’s snatch.

that bitch needs a lesson that only cock can teach.
