I swear I’ve replied here this time, too. SRK hates me. Yeah I’m serious, also, I’m probably dropping Mai as soon as I can get ex kyo up to par, as she’s by far the weakest member on my team. Also, xT just doesn’t have any hype. Parasoul is too godlike. Her links feel so good to hit. I should watch some combo videos or something, though. Only hitting 11k damage or so meterless. I’m sure she can go higher, as my air chains aren’t optimized.
Man, I still don’t know who I want to play in that game. No one really clicks with me yet. I was messing around with Valentine, but her combos are kinda difficult. So many relaunches!
I may try out some other characters until I get a feel for the way the game is supposed to play or DLC characters come out.

I will learn BB! Teach me on Friday! I think I want to play Hazama? Who in BB has the lowest skill-reward ratio? Tager? They all seem a bit complex - there are no Hondas in this game.
Hazama is pretty cool. The only tricky thing about learning him is getting his movement with chains down, but once you have that, you’re golden. The majority of his combos aren’t very difficult, and he gets amazing damage with meter. Also, we have a couple Hazama players, so I’m sure you can pick up some stuff. Also, Simon used to play Hazama, so I’ll send him your way to give you some pointers on Friday! :3
As far as complexity goes, it depends on who you ask. Most likely, Ragna, Hakumen, Hazama, Noel, Makoto, Tager, and to a certain extent, Jin, are all relatively low on how complex they are. I would argue that Platinum and Lambda aren’t too difficult either, but I know you don’t like Lambda, and I’m pretty sure you don’t like Platinum either, haha. However, unless you really want to sweat for your damage, I would steer clear of Makoto and probably Jin. Jin got a lot trickier in Extend and if you can’t open people up with resets, you’ll have a hard time with him. Makoto is the worst character in Extend (still viable!), but you’ll have to work really hard to get your wins. Not saying you can’t play those characters, but you may want to avoid them for now, until you’re comfortable with the game. Noel is somewhat tricky until you understand how her drive works. Unless you’re just mashing it online, which will probably work, haha.
But in my opinion: Ragna, Hazama, Hakumen, and Tager. All good starter characters.
