Haha, thanks, but I was really out of practice for FFI. I joined the bracket to be a pot monster. Also, I have a tough time deciding on a team in that game. There are too many cool characters! (Also, I’m really lazy about learning three characters, haha.) Well, maybe I’ll keep playing it casually or something, it’s a cool game. I’m super pumped for P4A though, that game looks rad.

Somebody help me defraud before PEI. Haggar / Wesker / Vergil?? I don’t even fuckin’ know what I’m doing anymore. How do I do good combo )::: Haggar can actually combo off of rapid slash which is pretty dumb. And maybe I should have Wesker on anchor. And I don’t think I’m good enough to play Haggar at all let alone on point. But then, if that’s what’s stopping me, I should probably just drop Marvel. It’s so easy to play bad!

also does anybody have a UMVC3 bible they’re not using for a couple of weeks? Still haven’t seen one page inside that thing, and I sure can’t find a copy of my own.
A better team (and a real Marvel player correct me, if I’m wrong) would probably be Vergil/Wesker/Haggar, I think. But Haggar is honestly kind of not very good anymore, so maybe you can find someone who fulfills a better role than him unless you’re really attached? Sentinel would be legit, I think. Dem drones too gewd. Or Magneto.
Also, you can probably get away with easy mode combos until you want to level up. Combos are very much a huge part of Marvel, but people really underestimate the value of good fundamentals in that game. If you don’t have them, you’re just gonna get exposed and blown up over and over again.

Build the team around Haggar, Haggar gets zoned super easily to the point where if you only have him left on your team, you might as well say GG. Pick an assist that helps you get in with Haggar, Missiles, beams, drones. Haggar is less about mixups and more aimed towards making your opponent afraid to press a button, his pipe is fierce and all that shit. Dan is clearly better at this game then I am though, and if he comes in saying the exact opposite of me, you should probably go with him. Katie’s also right, you can get pretty far on FUNdamentals in this game, it’s more important being able to get that hit even if it just leads into a baby combo, rather then not being able to get that hit but being able to get a TOD.
