Games and rules: For this event we are offering the following tournaments:
Ultra Street Fighter IV
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Guilty Gear Xrd
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
Super Street Fighter II Turbo
King of Fighters '13
For rules, a Google document containing all the rules for every game can be found here: buckeyelan.com/fightnight3s.html The rules also include the times each game’s tournament is starting.
Console being used: Every tournament except Guilty Gear will be run on Xbox 360- in the cases of 3rd Strike and Super Turbo, this means 3SO and HD Remix, respectively. Xrd will be run on PS3. Alternate consoles may also be available from being brought in by attendees, if you and your opponent wish to play your match on a different platform, but the tournaments will always default to the Xbox versions.
Onsite Registration\Pre registration information: Registration will be onsite, and each game has a $5 buy in for the tournaments. Showing up and playing casuals is free. Any player may register for any game at any time before the time indicated in the rules document, but they must pay into the pot for that game at that time. Players are permitted a refund if they register for a game in advance and must leave- but they must request the refund prior to 10 minutes before the start time on the rules document. The bracket will be made and randomly generated at the start time in the rules, and that bracket is final.
Payout: 100% of the pot is paid out as prizes. 70% for first place, 20% for second, and 10% for third. In addition, each game has a pot bonus in the form of a $20 Amazon gift card for first, $10 Amazon gift card for second, and a $5 Amazon gift card for third, which is given on top of the prize from the pot.
