Yeah…I’m just gonna go down there and see what’s up. Just like with every tourney. Things always change last minute at tourneys. Only thing I care about is whether 3S will be on arcade or console. Either way I’m prepared now. Done a bit of practice on both Happ/Sanwa sticks for the event.
We DID decide on a format. 7 months ago. We could have changed something a while back, hell, even a month ago, but there’s not really shit we can do two days before the tournament. Nobody has mentioned this being a problem until NOW. It was on dreamcast last year, the year before that, the year before that, and so on.
What’s funny to me is that everybody here can read by default because they’re on the internet. People realizing NOW, two days before the tournament what system the games are on is a bit out of our control unless we sit next to you and read the post to you. And I’m not driving across America because somebody decided not to read.
I don’t know what to tell you.

Hey I had held off on registering for 3s because of not knowing it was going to be on arcade or console. (The pre-reg closed before the final verdict came out I think)
Anyhow any advice on how early I should arrive if I wanted to register the day of?
Be there on Sat before 1. Pre reg will probably last until after with last minute stuff unless they have no mercy for people coming late. Basically good advice for trying to register in any tourney is to get there at least an hour before things are supposed to kick off. Don’t be the guy coming in at 4 or 5 o clock looking to get placed.
I’ll see about bringing some copies of CvS2. I might still have the FR6 mix.

Especially when all tournaments follow the exact same format, for the most part. It’s not like some tournament is gonna allow Gambit glitch one of these days.
People just assume it’s gonna be standard. That’s kinda what the word “standard” implies.

I know tourny is at 1 PM, but I forgot the time when people can run in and cause chaos in the ballroom. I want to drive and be there early for a change…
I haven’t prepared any of that stuff yet. It seems this year deoderant would be high on the list of important things to bring.
And we’re not going to be responsible for their shit. Hate it for you, but it’s on DC. We can’t change shit 2 days before and we can’t depend on people going “Yeah, I’ll bring my PS2 and game” and then they don’t want to give it up or don’t want to leave it down in the ballroom when they go up to their room. We’ve had that happen before. We can’t be responsible for their stuff because if ps2s and games start disapearing, somebody has to pay for that shit. That’s why we keep Final Round pretty much to just ATL family.
Again, this thread was up for MONTHS, and you guys just now decided to read it. That ain’t our fault. You can sit here and play devil’s advocate and come up with any excuse you want to for not reading it, but the bottom line is it’s not our fault you guys didn’t read the thread until 2 DAYS BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT. There’s no other way around it.
At this point, it seems like people are going to try and find anything they can to complain about. I hate it for you. I’m sorry you guys can’t read. I’m not going to argue it further either. I already talked to Larry and he feels the same way. If you guys had said something a while back, we could have done something. We can’t now.

1.its gonna be the longest CvS2 tourney ever ran becuase people are gonna be waiting for converters left and right since they dont wanna use someone elses stick
2.theres no converters and then mad people are gonna blame their loses on the sticks they were forced to use and theres gonna be mad complaining
