M2B is back for 2012. This is our March event that we hold basically as an excuse to hold tournaments for a number of fighting games during a time of the year that is otherwise scarce with tournament events in Winnipeg.

DATE: March 10th, 2012
LOCATION: University of Manitoba Armes Building Sci Lounge, Winnipeg MB
OFFICIAL TOURNAMENTS
By the time March 2012 rolls around, there will be 7 fighting games that people in the ChipDamage community can say they actively play. However, because we only have so much time during M2B, we will only be able to do a maximum of 5 of those games for that day.
When you pre-register (we will inform you when it goes live), there will be a list of 7 fighting games to choose from. You can only choose up to a maximum of 5 games. The top 5 games with the most signups will be chosen for M2B. Please only sign up for the games you actually plan on entering as this affects not only the list of games but the schedule as well. Here’s a list of the eligible games:
Street Fighter X Tekken
Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition: 2012
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
King Of Fighters XIII
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend
Soul Calibur 5
Mortal Kombat 9
Pre-registration is completely free. It will close on February 24th so be sure to get your signups in before then.
ENTRY FEE: $5.00 A TOURNAMENT
PRIZE DISTRIBUTION
All tournaments will be 70/20/10

A call to our local players:
Although M2B has typically been one of our smaller tournaments in numbers, the game lineup is very big for one day and with the huge amount of games coming out, it could be a little daunting. Therefore, I would ask as many people as possible that have provided consoles and monitors in the past if they could provide them for this event so we can get all the games done as quickly and smoothly as possible. I would like to see stations in numbers similar to at Fight for Japan.
