What’s a Euro reset?
Meu <3
Been a while sicne I saw any footage of the guy, nice to see him play.
He seems a lot more innovative with his use of EX Fuki in comparison to Misse, makes him a lot of fun to watch.
Poor Mago just doesn’t seem to fit with Yang, I wonder why he’s sticking with him.
His Yang is pretty good. Since Makoto is not played that much, it’s understandable that he didnt get what was happening. Meu doing really well does not mean Mago is trash imho.
I’ve seen plenty of other matches from him using Yang, and I can’t help but feel he’s not in the right shoes when playing him. Feels like he’s not a big enough risk taker for that kind of character.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXKeel62pvc I only had one match on stream and i pretty much crumpled after the first game any tips would be appreciated It starts around the 12:50 mark
It seems like after the first match the other guy remembered he was playing T.Hawk lol
The thing about grapplers is that because they can just churn butter for a 2-frame reversal whenever the hell they feel like it, any shenanigans Makoto usually has at her disposal becomes incredibly dangerous for her to use. This makes it even more frustrating when fighting the most well equipped grappler in the game (SPD, DP, full screen dives, whatever the hell Condor Spire is).
This is just me speaking personally but to me grappler match ups are a true test of Makoto’s ability to play the neutral game. It’s 90% footsies, 10% shenanigans. You have to be truly and intimately familiar with all of her normals: their ranges, advantage on block, their AA capabilities against various grappler jump-ins. The other 10% are set ups and resets if you think you have a hard read on them after a certain point and that it would win the match/round if successful.
Yea I agree I could of played way better footsies then I did and in some moments I kinda just froze gotta get better at that.
Mago is efficient enough when he knows the matchup.
Honestly, lots of things going meh in this, lots of stuff unpunished by the other player ( like, all the EX hayate ), but I guess we can’t be too picky about getting makoto footage.
I really like the Axekick punish on Hazanchu. That’s a hard read but that’s so good to get.
It seems PlayerJun52 didnt know the matchup at all. The makoto player was also good at breaking the rythm and knew all the characters PlayerJun52 played.
I also found the hazanchu counter very sexy. Makoto should also be able to counter it with instant focus forward, but i think it may be even harder than the tsurugi and less rewarding.
Definitely Playerjun didn’t know this matchup. Against a good Chun is better don’t use FA, since she can break it easily in many ways. That Makoto is too…2012, the ex fukiage is almost forgotten. The only interesting thing is the tsurugi against the hazanshu, good to know. Is almost a free U1 if timed correctly.
Really struggled to get some wins against this Blanka. Probably should have blocked more, but just in general the hop shenanigans really throw me off my game.
Darkos is probably one of the best Blanka in Europe since Super, but you’ve played very well against him. To stop his hop sheningans you need to counter his normals, especially st.lp: a good Blanka can mixup electricity and hops from it. St.mp works well, but be careful to the slide. Don’t put pressure on him with meaties on his wakeup when he has meter, he gonna use the ex vertical for sure. Against Rainbow Ball Ex: Stay crouch and late cr.mk, even if Blanka goes for the crossup our normal autocorrect. You let him jump too many times, you have the fukiage for it. St.mp or st.mk after good also when he jump in front of you. Push him to the corner! Blanka is a very mobile character, put a limit on his movements is the best way to destroy him. Use the ex fuki sheningans more: without meter Blanka can’t use a reversal, when he have meter for the vertical… Block and punish. He has to guess.
did he really win 15 matches in a row?
Check this out.
tell me if this is even possible.
cuz I don’t know what happened here.
I cant tell if
A)it was online and cuz its online something happened regarding my inputs coming out before his came out. hence…online bs.
or
B)he simply fucked up the timing of his inputs
or
C)its somehow possible for Juri to “fit” a mashed out Ultra 1 activation before Makoto can activate her U1.
I cant tell.
you tell me
I’m the juri btw. from looking at the vid his ultra 1 inputs seem correct…but since I don’t play much makoto I cant really tell if he fucked up the timing. hence why I’m posting this here. to see if some makotos can enlighten me nd tell me if he didn’t do the ultra 1 ctivation inputs with the correct timing. cuz I cant believe I can fit a ultra 1 feng shui engine activation after the choke.
its almost like my mashed out ultra 1 cancelled out his or something…cuz his qcfx2+PPP is correct input wise. it should have activated.
but didn’t.
I played a decent Blanka offline a while back and I really couldn’t get an anti-air on him with mp or cr.mk. Fuki sounds like the better option, I’ll give it a try next time. I imagine mp fuki would get us under his high jump? And good shout on the Rainbow ball. Reversal always confuses me.
There were a couple of others in the lobby so he probably got about 7-8 wins on me before I could get some momentum going. Mostly European players.
