Louffy is so on point with his anti airs and so good at applying pressure with U2. It’s really hard to get momentum on Rose in general, let alone against the best Rose player. Hes a low risk low reward control player. That’s like a Makoto player’s krypotnite.
yeah that was difficult. I missed some stun opportunities (fuck that hurtbox xD) but even with that, the result wouldnt change.
yep i chose UW to not let him spam soul spark (and charging his super) during his U2 AND rose fireball have a lot of recovery (like dhalsim)
I didnt play him since ultra so I was not sure if he would do more EX spiral (since no more throw invulnerable). I think I could use more karakusa in the corner
Fighting characters like Rose or Chun is really hurtful now.
Play footsies against Rose is almost useless, her spacing, walkspeed and zoning are just too dominating now, even crouch teching against her is a risk thanks to that fucking st.mk. Playing against Luffy myself few weeks before EVO I find our cr.lp/f.lp very good, the problem is the range, he’s too good in space his spirals. Like Chun,Rose don’t love HK Tsurugis that much, but connect with those avoiding her cr.HP isn’t easy. Push her into the corner and kill her there is our only chance to win IMO. Reduce her movements is vital, challenge Rose midscreen is crazy. Since she has that close mk I don’t rely on ex karakusa that much on defense, better block first then leave if possible. I prefer U2 over U1 here, just because I feel I can get much closer than with Seichusen, but it’s just a choice.
Misse should really be playing a different character, maybe Chun. The two strengths that I can see from these matches are 1. Footsies 2. A good sense of when to backdash. He has no idea what to do out of a knockdown and eats a ton of damage because of it. He also doesn’t really use any mixup or complex frame traps.
I think the way he plays vs gouki is correct. You cant really mix him up before of teleport AND dp. And he has low life, so using maximum damage output is the key, i guess (same as vs yun or seth).
I agree with Vryu in fact i think going for the hard reads is why i have a tough time versus top level Akuma’s, most time my only damage after a knock down comes from predicting teleports since he can escape very easily. Misse played the ground game brilliantly and took from what i saw no un-necessary risk. Well played!
It’s not the first time I see this in Misse’s gameplay. It’s like he doesn’t know what to do on a knockdown, telling himself “I must do okizeme” and then trying something that is definitely not a setup
His neutral and pressure are solid though.
There isn’t enough hitstun on a MK Tsurugi to allow for a U2, you can however U1. There is a point where during the backdash you are considered airborne though, and you would create an unintentional reset if your tsurugi hit at that point where you would probably be punished.
no yeah what im asking is if they are airbourne during enough time to make u2 connect , because they enter a jugglestate there. Maybe someone floaty like dhalsim can
