Makoto Video Thread/Match Critiques

If i use a dummy and make him jump neutral (without attacking), and if i jump back or forth, our jumps will very soon be asynchronous.

these videos are great
short, easily digestible, properly labelled, and with all the relevant frame information.

Thank you. If you have any suggestion, i will take it.

First off: Awesome videos. Love all the information displayed in 30 seconds.

Second, I’m pretty sure the back throw into meaty RH isn’t frame perfect. I keep doing it to fast and whiffing the RH. Just an observation.

Great stuff!

Is it backthrow, to sHK ?
cLK=14f
HK feint=27f
meaty sHK=15f
14+27+15=41+15=56=backthrow length.
Maybe HK feint is faster than that :s

I already removed one that had a mistake in it. Thank you for your feedback.

Pretty sure you’re just trying this on Hakan or someone else with a delayed wakeup after back throw.

KD length for backthrow
Adon : 55f
Blanka, Dhalsim, Sagat, Claw : 57f
Hakan : 61f
Everybody else : 56f

It’s Ryu, however I realize I may have looked at it incorrectly. The numbers are correct, but I keep getting a whiff, which would only account to me doing it late, but active frames are missing. I’m obviously doing something wrong, I’ll figure it out, lol.

My apologies friend,

I think I was using f.mk instead, like a fool. I watched all of these in a row and I think I got jumbled at one point. Your math looks right.

Ignore me, and keep them coming!

It’s ok, it’s easy to mistake. I’ll try to make more setup videos since it seems usefull. Thank you again for you feedback. fMK=33f How did you wiff ?

so much info here I love you guys. Im new to makoto here as well. I sat down here and read most of this 72 page forum. So much info I appreciate and thank you for effort in helping “new makoto” players like me

Maybe i should create 3 different playlists instead of a unique one. I think i will cover meaty c.MK after that. Karakusa have a lot of setups, i don’t think i will cover it. Maybe a kara-karakusa and s.LK karakusa. If you guys have suggestions, i’ll take them.

It should help versus Deejay.

These videos are looking really stylish man. Good work.

Thank you. I will do some post ultra 1 mixup now.
If anyone has post hayate lp,mp,hp (after a juggle), hayate ex, tsurugi HK and EX KD lenghts, i’d be grateful.

Did haitani switch to Rufus ?

If he has it’s certainly a strange pick. This looks like more of a casual match though what with Sako playing E.Ryu. I don’t think anyone who plays Makoto seriously could ever drop her completely. Especially for a character like Rufus…

Also: In regards to your above post - after I land an EX Axe kick in the corner I can normally land a meaty HP Oroshi afterwards. I’m not sure how frame tight it is as it usually depends how close to the ground I was when I activated it. Worth experimenting with though.

In regards to techable knockdowns it’s hard to calculate meaties due to the fact that they can delay their quick rise for a few frames. I am unsure about how many frames each character Is grounded if they don’t quick rise.

Haitani also used to play Rufus in vanilla iirc
