A lot of his damage came from crouch tech punishes, your st.MP blockstrings / pressure midscreen, and your wakeup options.
I’m a scrubby player, but I like using the cr.LP > st.LP > st.MP string, and usually HC st.MP if it’s blocked. st.MP > st.MP is really tempting, but best-case scenario, you get another one into a untechable knockdown or push them to the corner.
I like the f.strong > f.jab you started doing in likeeeee. The third or fourth game, lol. f.MP > st.MP isn’t as tight, but you can confirm off of it. Also, no fukiage corner combos after stun? You can do some crazy resets with them, and in a lot of situations, he only had one meter. So at worst, if he mashes out, you just eat EX Messiah damage.
But just watching the matches once, you only really block on wakeup if Rufus is pressuring you in the corner.

I’m typing this as I’m watching, and I’m not one for organization. BUT WHEN IT WAS 3-2 IN MIKE’S FAVOR, AND HE WAS OUT OF METER. YOU JUST SAT FULL SCREEN. AND I WAS LIKE, “ASDFGHJKL, GO IN.”
tl;dr = you missed some vital hit-confirms, and used meter when you didn’t really confirm at all. It’s hard to AA Rufus, but cr.MK was sparingly used. IMO, you should have tried to play more footsies and not go in all the time. Rufus only has divekick and crouching fierce to ruin your day from midscreen.
