Hey guys. I’m new to Makoto and to the forums. This is my 3rd day with her. Help me start on the right foot.
Haha good match. Great job with your spacing and getting in. However, it’s a hard match to really give much critique on. Unless this was like your 5th match against him you got a lot of lucky hits (EX.oroshi on wake up, random EX.Hayate, Ultra 2, trade j.HP, f.HP) Give us something more to work with, like a series of matches against the same person. Than we can really see what your style of playing is instead of just a flashy match. But from that video, it looks like you have a pretty good hang of her so far.

Damn, Haitani is so good at varying his attack rhythm.
I thought Daigo would have done more instinct shoryuken. Last time i saw a fight between those two, Daigo closed all the post hayate mind game with his srk. I felt frustrated for Haitani.
This time, Haitani respected him for a few seconds and then forgot he had to respect him. That’s something i have problems to do. The shoto shows you he can destroy you with his srk, and i cant bait any kind of srk after that, sometimes i even get grabbed on the wake up game even if i’m the one standing. Then i respect him too much and ends doing nothing even if manage to put him down.

Meu seems have too respect in the first matches. Mak is good,but I don’t cry if Capcom gave her a real reversal or free out of jail move. Deal with some cr.lp/lk pressure is really damn hard sometimes,especially online.

Why u don’t use fuki more? Especially against the Dicta player,you can make him think twice before jump at you. Even in the Gouki sets,is more risky against,but you can. You gave 300+ dmg and a load of stun whenever he do a tatsu crossup or a bad demon flip. I played a lot the Gouki matchup,let me say you use FA too much and is risky with his st.HK; many Akumas now use cr.mk OS tatsu,so do too much FA is bad. I feel good with my “This is Spartaa!!!”-like st.HK from the right distance,or try f.mp when Gouki don’t use the cr.mk. Better put pressure on Gouki,'cuz leave him do the opposite is like try to guard LeBron all alone. Akumas don’t loves Makoto,with two fat combos is almost done.
