I never thought to wakeup pressure with Super. That was hot. Super prevents gief wakeup U1, can someone confirm? If so that’d be a saucy wakeup game to screw all the grapplers for match points. LOL ULTRA WHIFFED THRU SUPER EAT SOME U1.
sometimes, if your opponent push the button at the same time as your ultra…his move doesnt come out and he can guard…
With this, his move will come out anyway.
Oh, and i think anti air armor cancel is a good thing on wakeup.
When jumping move whiffs, you’re quicker on the ground (called safe jump…). But, if you guard/gethit/hyper armor, you cannot safe jump.
A good example is to try safe jump against boxer EX dash straight (it has hyper armor) and guy’s EX tatsu.
You can land and guard against guy, because your jump attack whiffs. BUT you get hit if you safe jump against boxer, because your jump attack doesnt whiff.

Love those BIGDANMUL vids, awesome find. What is the motion for getting armor canceling into Ultra I? It looks like he’s doing HCB, HCB+KK, F+PPP? Is that correct? I have a hard time understanding why the system allows some of these armor cancelling ultras … I can do Guy’s armor cancel into ultra just by mashing it out, but his armor EX move motion is the same as his ultra motion …
About the only thing missing from that guy’s Mak game is using option select on wake-up - it looks like people waking up against him with backdash seem to get out of his grasp.

In the first video he dropped a few combos and forgot to do the follow-up after the ultra.
Got a lot better in the second video, and this time he didn’t miss the combo ending in hayate.
