Is V-Ryu at this EGL tournament?
I just checked it out , they are playing black ops o.o , when is ssf4 ? I’d watch it cause I know a lot of good players from UK
I’d like to get some more games in with you when you’re ready. Have you got a mic?
My xbox is gone for the moment , I had to punish myself so that my lazy ass can study for a few days , its my last school year and I don’t exactly plan to be a proffesional SSF4 player lol ,but I’ll hit you up soon , my mic broke a week ago , gotta buy a new one -_-
Ok, no probs…
I found a lot of FAX vs elist clips , not gonna bother posting them , just saying … it was super boring overall , I watched 1 game and it has nothing to do with matches like shiro vs haitani or vryu and peqqi
me vs online thawk

Judging from the disparity between his pp and bp, I wouldnt call him the best but Ill take ANY win I can get from Hawk!
p.s. I find myself jumping a lot around t hawks, trying to hit them with jump away fierce, IA tsurgi, and trying to avoid getting grabbed.
- Lots of players with physical characters make this crucial mistake; you’re not running from grapplers, you’re keeping them out. That means staying in optimal poke range and keeping a tight AA game. You stayed a few bit farther back than you should have; keep doing this and you’ll find yourself at the corner and you’ll be at a distinct disadvantage. Only move back when you’ve lost optimal footing. While it’s tougher to do this with Hawk than it is with Gief, it’s the best strategy.
- Poke better. c.HK, s.HK, s.MK buffer pokes, c.MP buffer pokes, c.LK buffer pokes, all are effective. Just watch out for Condor Spires to close the distance, you don’t want to buffer poke those.
- AA better. When he jumped from afar, you did an early s.MP before he even dived: this would have lost to empty jump and dive, two very common jumping strategies from Hawk. Either get HP Fukiage down (relatively easier than against most characters), or start using jump forward MP or jump back HP on reaction to a jump.
- Never do random EX or otherwise Hayate against grapplers.
- The guy dived every time from a distance. You didn’t pick up on this; you could have waited to punish with Yamase, EX Hayate, or U2. I would have been excited by this, free ultra combo! Pay distinct attention to this from the first time Hawk jumps next time, it’s a pretty noticeable and important part of online Hawk.
Always U2 against T. hawk , everything is punishable with it
I just saw Louffy winning EGL in London , now I have the urge to try playing against him , he looks like a person who can teach a player a lot about his gameplan , he did REALLY well against yun AND sagat … very impressive , very very impressive
One win one loss. The cody player was in france and yet there was no lag: ) There were plenty of losses though : (
There’s a ton of good advice I have received from members on the cody match up in the AE thread but its still difficult to escape the un ending pressures of the “frame-trap-king!”

Against the akuma, look to first round 80 sec mark for a cross up tsurgi in action. I was so excited to pull one off against a shoto (they usually wiff dp), I didnt even follow up ( I usually do cr hp then meaty hp oroshi)

Have you guys seen Mago playing Makoto ? xD

EDIT: Where the hell is everyone ?
WTF? Well, I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised. Top players generally play the entire cast so they can get an insider’s look on how to fight against them.
Man, he is unrefined. Doesn’t matter, he’d still beat everyone in the universe with Dan or Hakan.
Man he
Man he didn’t hit that FFS once.
PLEASE HEEEELP!!!
I’m having trouble finding a video for a friend who’s trying to learn Makoto. As I recall, it had Makoto vs Ryu at a tournament, and maybe in the finals, and I think the commentators had a UK accent, maybe even Australian. At the end of the match, the Makoto player was mixing up the Ryu player so hard that the Ryu player didn’t know what to do. I think it involved a lot of Karakusa and Hayate cancels. I think the announcer said something like “Aw, now he’s just toying with him!” Also, I think the Makoto player was someone younger, like in his early teens. Does anybody recall which video this is?
LMAO @ vryu trolling. This was the very first video I saw of vryu. Straight man crush at the time. Pause.
hahaha
the commentator is F-word.
He will join Team Europe2 in canada cup
(damn it…I had to join team 1 if i had time :x ).
BTW, kusanagi (ryu player) is a 12-13 year old french guy. He plays a VERRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY good yun in AE.
He took me some matches in casual at RFD. I really had to play at 100% or I got killed.
