Yeah I also activated an ex-oroshi at the same time Guile did his Ultra1 and his kick flew straight threw me and he got chopped to the ground. If they would just add throw invincibility on ex-oroshi and increase the range of karakusa Makoto would be a very solid character.

Don’t know if anyone said this yet, but if Abel knocks you down and goes for an os sweep, it’ll usually beat your backdash. But if you FA cancel the recovery of your backdash, you’ll be able to focus in time for Abel’s sweep to hit the focus, and then you can foward dash and punish him.

Dictator is not very troublesome for Makoto. When you have ex, he can’t devil reverse you, and you can beat him in the air. Pretty even to me.

To be fair, though, I’m still choking a lot under rush-down. I don’t remember if it was against you that I basically had one of the rounds won and then ended up completely forgetting how to block endless butt-slams for some dumb reason. :smiley:

i sure hope it wasn’t me. my honda isn’t amazing but i usually know well enough to not buttslam very often. it’s a really shitty move, just focus it on the way down and do whatever you want with the crumple.

can makoto punish ex/lp/mp/hp headbutts? i haven’t tested it but i have my doubts; if she can’t it’s going to be a very rough matchup indeed. his normals just own the space in front of him and he really wrecks characters that have to get in on him. the only advice i have is to up your zoning game, get a life lead, and turtle it out.

she can punish regular headbutts with s.MP. Don’t know about ex version though.

Yeah, I know. I just lose my brain when people start doing stupid shit, because somehow I never expect it.

Did a bit of testing. HP Headbutt (only) can be hit with EX Hayate on block.

Dash-up block seems to be safe after all strengths of headbutt to get in (though Honda’s jabs will CH your own if you press the “advantage”, and jab Ochio will grab you if you do anything but jump), and seems to put you in range of kara-kara (obv. not guaranteed).

Well, you can stuff any headbutt with s.mp.

Sure, but if you don’t time that properly, it’s not really a trade or CH you want to take. If you’re seeing headbutts from full screen, sure, but from closer range, I don’t see that being a risk that’s gonna pay off for Makoto.

Against Honda/ Blanka I usually advance with forward + MP. It stuffs not only pokes but headbutts/ rolls.

Not that it probably means much at this point, but there might be some general similarities that might be interesting.

Fei Long: 66% (good chance I’ve only played 3 of them, heh, and I think the one I lost to was one of the top Feis )

Safe blocked HAYATE

Idk if its been mentioned, but** Lp Hayate** can be pretty fuckin safe on block if used properly.

max range s. mk or max range c. mp (which are some of her BEST pokes) into Lp Hayate is safe from most of the cast. As always…further testing against the rest of the cast is needed.

As of now heres what I have.
-Cammy can c. lk/c. mk into Arrow
-Bison can c. lk/c. mk into Scissor Kick
-Boxer can s. lp into Dash punch
-Ryu can c. mk into Super or EX Hado
