you have to end a qcf with forward, the reason why you get dp motion is you hit a button before you finish the command. you’re suppose to do d,df,f to complete it. Its not the shortcut system’s fault you arent doing qcf’s correctly.
well i can do it nicely in 3s which it doesnt have the shortcut, well anyway i can see that in the input display im pressing a bit early need to practice more and get used to it thx
Against a bison who likes to Ex PC on wakeup you can backdash and Ultra 1. It beats it clean into huge damage.
i was messing around with makoto and decided to make her my secondary,i found out that fwd lk sets up her command throw from within certain range,also that dhalsim is going to be a pain for u makotos but once you get close u can get into that ass.lol i had to do alot of canceling dash punch and random ex dash punch to keep him on his toes and he still bested me(1-2 in a ranked match).at any range besides close mak is at a disadvantage and any poke he did was close to unpunishable,but i think jump bak fierce can be dp’d i think didnt get a chance to test it though

Need MAJOR help in the Guile, Rufus and Elf matchups. Rufus especially. I know st.mp can beat dive kick, but that shit isn’t enough. Once he gets inside its over. The match is fucking retarded.

vs Adon, you can LP Fukiage his HK Jaguar Tooths on reaction from full screen. A lot of Adons use that since it’s safe on block (I think?). Actually, whenever he jumps to the corner (and it’s not EX), just push out a lp Fukiage. If it’s not a HK tooth, you’ll just build meter, as there’s nothing he can punish with, really.
So what are good anti airs against Bison’s headstomp? I tried J. mp, J.Fp and J.Hk (all diagonals) but with mixed results. I also tried fukiage, but either traded or got stuffed by it.
Btw, it’s really easy to stuff Blanka balls with S.Mp, my main in vanilla was Sakura and it was so hard timing Cr.Hp because of the short horizontal hitbox, so I just mashed jabs whenever I expected balls.

in order to absolutely ensure that you get the qcf instead of DP, do a half circle instead…that should work
The best AA against Bisons headstomp is walk back. Headstomp has no tracking besides the start up so if you’re not in the corner and Bison headstomps, walking back makes it whiff for a free throw/combo.
are you sure this works with makoto’s walk speed though?
Ok~ I’ve been playing against Ryu in training mode set to hard~ trying to get a feel for Makoto’s normals, and punishing with karakusa~ if I knew absolutely nothing about the game I was playing, I would think that I was controlling both characters at the same time, and every attack button used for Mak is also a shoryuken button for Ryu lol.
I find myself playing constant turtle since attacking outright either trades or leads to srk~ Is she suppose to be the turtling character? Feels like I’m getting poked out of everything, and MP doesn’t like linking into other things (super strict timing I guess?) I just don’t get it @_@;;
I’ve had it whiff while I was walking back but that’s a good point. If Mak starts walking after Bisons already in the air walking might be too slow. I’ll have to test it.
This in short is kind of how I feel, whatever I try I just get beat outright :x Anyone wanna post some vids against a Ryu/Akuma/Ken/Guile - not scrubtastic ones either. I wanna see how people deal with them. I want some proof of this godlike st.mp 'cos it don’t seem so godlike to me…
Dont bother with the CPU at all dude. The CPU knows what you are going to do every time and will punish. You could tap jump and he’ll SRK you before you leave the ground.
With that being said I think she’s gonna end up being a turtle/defensive character, which is really fucking stupid since she’s supposed to be an all-or-nothing offensive character. She doesn’t have nearly as many tools to play defensively as most of the cast. When I say “all-or-nothing” I dont imply blindly rushing in for big damage/stun, but right now it seems like she has to play defensively against SO MANY characters that her offensive value is severely diminished.
I hate to go back to the Rufus bullshit matchup, but that’s a perfect example of a character who’s built purely for offense and does it well. He puts out a stupid amount of damage with stupidly safe mixups and a stupidly safe dive kick that can be spammed. On the defensive end his EX messiah kick is better than anything Mak has. I was hoping Mak would turn out to be an offensive monster, but from what I can see that’s not going to be the case because she has to be played ridiculously careful and defensive. Not to mention her crappy HP. I’d honestly love for someone to prove me wrong with vids/advice though. The only good thing I’ve seen from her thus far is that she can rack up stun quickly, but that’s often a moot point because, again, she needs to play defensively in so many matchups.
I’m using the CPU because I usually get kicked from lobby’s if I play Mak too much ^^;; And in Ranked mode, too many people like to full screen taunt or just screw around~ and win anyway T_T
I’ll keep an eye out on new tactics~ but for now I guess I’ll stick with Juri.
