Turns out I have ‘Cubital Tunnel Syndrome’ ( http://www.eatonhand.com/hw/hw007.htm ) in both arms. I had my first operation for in on my left elbow on the 1st of May this year. Now I’m waiting on the second operation on my right elbow. Lord knows when that’ll be. =/
I’ve been off work since the 16th of June 2007 and I actually had to resign recently too. (Just until I’m fixed. They said I could go back, thank Osiris.)
Not only that, but it turns out I have another problem on top of that. ‘Displaced Carpal Bones’. I’ll be having the first lot of treatment for that tomorrow (3rd Dec 2008.) in the form of constant corrective splint wearing and physiotherapy.
It looks as if it’s going to be at LEAST another 18 months before I’m even close to being right again… So, I’m making the most of the time I have spare. I know it’s naughty of me, but every now and then I feel like I need to do something, whether its writing, or even just a quick doodle or two. I feel like, if I don’t, I’ll go nuts and when inspiration strikes, it really doesn’t help matters.
With all that off my chest, I’m going to post my doodles and stuff that I’ve been messing about with. (The first lot were done while I was in Greece, between the 29th of September and the 13th of October.)
Yes, I was naughty. I drew a heck of a lot of stuff recently. Sparks fly from arms I REALLY shouldn’t have, because my arms are suffering more recently and it’s made it worse. Lol.
Wow, that sounds awfully horrible what you’re going through. Impressive that you’re still working on your art despite that, though, since your art style is very nice, IMO. Loved the Doonys set most.
Thank you to everyone. I don’t think I’ll be better any time soon, but I really can’t help myself from doing the odd piece. If I didn’t I would go nuts, since I’m practically incapable of doing much else. It hurts, but still…
