Well MTLSF never said no to the others…
We host the BlazBlue people at our HQ and even the Smash people …
We sent out the invite to the Tekken people to come down to HQ and all Even had a PS3 waiting for them …
The message we got back was they aren’t much and they rather play at home … I mean we cant force them you know …
The MTLBB community is growing faster than I expected. In due time it won’t be regarded as simply MTLSF anymore. Not hating on sf, but we are developing a Montreal fighting game community, that hosts various games of all sorts. Get Hype.
Shoutouts to MTLSF helping the MTLBB community grow though. But if things like Nemesis 2 occurs more (assuming everything is run properly) it won’t just be SF being hosted as fighting game tournaments in MTL, but rather BB as well and possibly Tekken. I haven’t heard anything from the tekken community. If anything, I could talk to one of our crew who is also part of the Tekken community though.
If Tekken wants to create a bigger more dynamic community, the need to start exposing themselves like SF players and BB players. Real talk.

you guys are more than welcome to join our tournaments… the reason why they are SF related only is because there was no other communities around to join us… if you guys are serious we will add you to MAT and other major events just like I did with nemesis

Mentalities like this piss me off. Oh no, it shows SF in the title, nothing else can run but this game.
Bringing communities together only helps ummm… EVERYONE.
Maybe on T12, I change the title to “T12: Valeran banned”. The title suggest it so it must happen.
Anyways, I talked to TekkenMTL and nobody got back to me yet. I guess their not that active like the Toronto Scene.
I’ll bug them some more, it will give me a reason to visit MTL again. Thanks for considering it.

We definitely want in on this. What kind of info/participation do you need from us?
How many machines/TVs can you give us? If zero, can we bring our own? 
We’re pretty active here, just less so now that everyone is in exams/getting into the holiday season.
Also, just like in SF, Montreal is the best in Canada at Tekken. True story.

holy shit with the overreaction. all i’m saying is it’s not MTLSF’s responsibility to get the Tekken community organized. Crankypunk has even said that he reached out to them with no success. IMO i get that community cooperation is good and all, but if you want your game played, make it happen. it’s not up to us to make sure you get a tournament.

I should be able to bring 5 peeps for Tekken if anything. I’ll try to convince a few BB folks to come as well.
Not sure who’s going from Toronto for SF but it should be fun.
