What do Kbrad, floe, Alex Valle, Vangeif, Latif, Laugh, Infiltration,Gamerbee, Human bomb, Xian, kazunoko fuude, tokido, mago, bonchan, pr rog, ricky ortiz, mike ross, jwong air, jozhear, chi rithy have in comon? Other than the fact that they are infinitly better than me in SF4. They will all be in Calgary in 2 days O_O
That list just makes me realize how amazing Canada Cup, and especially that 5v5 tournament is gonna be.
when i come and pick up my pass on fri (spectator) do they have my details (name, email address) at the desk or do i need to bring a printout of the receipt i got off paypal? (i dont have a printer)
If its anything like the previous years, the ladies should have a list (that is hopefully ordered alphabetically this year hint hint) at the door, where they will check you off/give you your pass.

Team Korea took a big hit with Poongko not going. They went from potential favorites to what some may say not even Top 4 team. Naraks really failed last year and in Corea both M.Lizard and SweetReina are better Vipers. Daniel Kim not even sure what player that is and I’ve watched a lot of Korean SFIV. Maybe it’s not his tag name or maybe it’s a last minute sub like I’m guessing Naraks is.
With KimLegend this team is still stronger than last years team. If Poongko would have gone you would have had 4 out of the 5 best players in Korea. KimLegend can be considered Top 5 Blanka in the world and if you’re daring potentially top 3 with Nishikin and Taku having stronger arguments for 1 and 2.
If Southeast Asia can get Gackt or Leslie as their 5th they should be considered as a top 3 team on paper. If they can’t pick one of those two or another top player as a 5th and end up with Zhi, their value of the team goes down unfortunately.
The USA teams still aren’t finalized. But can we get iPeru on the team?! He’s the only USA player that made top 16 at EVO that hasn’t been confirmed for a team.
Japan may be seen as the favorites. Primarily reason being is they’ve been training together. The only other team (as a whole) that has that team component for that long has been Team Netherlands. Last year we saw that these mercenary teams put together tends not to work out so well. Last minute teams usually end up being a disadvantage.
As far as talent people can arguably make a better Japanese team without using any of the current members of Team Japan but these 5 just seem to be having chemistry on their side.
I might be on a pre-Canada Cup podcast show with a number of other people giving our predictions for SF4/UMVC (the show is tentative and up in the air for now). I’ll link if it happens.

i agree with this. iPeru could do a ton of damage. I like how team canada had qualifiers so players can earn a spot based on skill. on the other hand, maybe iPeru won’t even get a chance to fight for a spot
