What is the notation here for the up and side tac?

So for the infinite , the setups posted in this thread are incomplete because they dont work if the tac(side or up )is done higher that j HS (for example after morrigan S . J MMH > shadowblad M > h TAC) … BUT with the staircase flight combo , u can adjust to any height and anywhere on screen.
Ill post them if need be and also they all work fullscreen (u can go from one side of the screen to the other AFTER the tac) :).
Yeah I also noticed that if the H isn’t a certain height you can’t get the infinite started. Nice job finding that the staircase can be used for side and up. Almost forgot mag can do the staircase.
Finally a practical reason to use that beautiful ass combo.

What’s up everyone this is Ariscool. I usually don’t read forums but I just wanted to see what everyone has found with this new TAC infinite. I wish I can name it Aris Infinite though but that is selfish. lol
if you name it aris infinite, we’ll just think of a bearded hilarious chubby tekken player who looks like Hagrid.
I’m personally a fan of naming combos/discovers after the person who innovated them so I’m all for calling it the Aris Infinite.
I still think it’s dumb how MVC3 ROM is called ROM though.

Fuck! I infected everyone with this infinite. But I have a question. What was the first thing that came to you guys minds when you first saw my infinite. I mean when I first thought of this infinite it all came to my mind so fast I just did it and got like 50 reps. And I just got done talking to a friend of mine about how people x copy too much when they play UMvC3 and never really go to the lab (unless I’m a different lab monster). And last there’s something I still don’t see Magneto players do. Hopefully when I play at FR16, CEO, or ECT5 I can showcase it. And does anyone know if I can change my name on here?

This works because a combination of things: 1. Magneto can activate the TAC glitch with 2 moves which are j. & j.:h: 2. I’m cancelling the last few frames of :h: out of flight to make the game think I did a jumping move instead of a flight move. 3. Hitstun on :h: to allow for easy followup and the hitstun is so low one can even get a raw Magnetic Tempest. And the reason I even thought this would work was the concept of the nullification glitch, Nova, and Iron Man. When I thought of Magneto I knew he would be unique because he has the fastest unfly in the game so I went to training mode and put Mags in flight mode as close to the ground as possible and hit the character with a flight combo and cancelled out of flight from :h: into a j.:l: (No TAC) to see if I can jump loop but the nullification glitch doesn’t work because Magneto has the fastest unfly in the game. That gave me the idea to try it out in TAC. So I did that but didn’t followup with a j.:l: as if I was to start the infinite and that’s when it hit me, Magneto’s fly/unfly is so fast I can cancel the flight :h: into a j.:h: within the frames of doing the move. After I figured that out I remembered the slap loop infinite that I also made with Magneto a few months back and noticed how I can activate the infinite with j.:h: too but was extremely hard to do at the time. From there I did TAC and slap loop infinite and cancelled the last one close to the ground and because of hitstun of :h: I did j.:l: and there you have it the easy Aris Infinite. I was at my friend house at the time and I got up screaming I’m feeling myself so hard right now I’m pregnant!
And to make each rep as long as possible mix it up back and forth from j.:l: j.:l: j. j.:h: to j.:l: j.

This doesn’t explains why Magneto is the only character in this game that can do this type of TAC infinite. It also doesn’t work if he is much closer to the ground in his flying state. Lets just say Magneto is the exceptional to the umvc3 combo system.
Also you said Magneto has the fastest unfly in the game but relative to what? Is it an action he can do after unfly or the speed of which he falls to the ground after unfly? It can’t be the former because he can’t even block right after unflying against full screen hypers.
I’m pretty sure morrigan has the fastest unfly.
I never said Magneto is the only one that can do this style of infinite. As far as I know he can’t abuse the nullification glitch too. Morrigan has a fast unfly in terms of flight period but in terms frames her H is slower than Mags H. In a nutshell Magneto is cancelling H flight frames into jump H frames. That’s the best way I can explain that.
So this infinite is game breaking as shit and awesome for Magneto and all that, but it needs more style.
I tried throwing an H magblast during the fly portion since you can link a j.l after it, but it never worked. What else can we try?
