Magneto Air Combo to Temptest?

I’ve seen it before and always wondering about it. Then I saw someone match from the evo2k7 vegas videos and someone was doing it alot. From just watching the vid it looks like magic, ad/uf lp, lk, lp, hyper grav xx temptest… is dat right or close? Anyone know what I’am poorly trying to say? LOL

yeah that is fine, u dont have to air dash u can just do a regular magic series. The only thing is, that it is possible to mash out of hyper grav xx magnetic tempest so ppl only do it when the risk reward ratio is worth it, like if u do the ROM for 40 hits and ur in the corner then u will see ppl doing it becuz if the other person mashes out, well they already racked up 40 hits plus the opponent is still in the corner so its not that bad. You wont see ppl doing it when they get a free launch of something becuz if ppl mash out of it, u just wasted ur chance to do high damage.

it is fun doing this combo in training mode though.

OH! So dats da thing people do in the corner with rom. I’ve seen that alot to. Sometimes they do a mid air grab don’t they?

If you get ppl on the wall w/ the rom, you can also:

Sj lk,lk Ad/f lk,lk HGxxMT, from there you can continue the rom,

and if you launch someone into the wall and want to attempt the tempest do not use the air dash first >.<. There are several ways to set up a frosty HP throw after a high tempest on the wall if you can still air dash after the tempest, that just sets up for more rom, or an unmashable.

As far as mashing out goes, its harder to mash out and block on reflex if the opponent is pinned to the wall, its also easier/harder to mash out depending on the speed of your cancel. You want to do it hella fast, so that the rocks are already formed when the HG grabs them, and the combo starts right away.

I seen this match between justin wong and yipes and they did like 4 HG XX MT each and they all mashed out of it each, i feel like i dont ever want to do MG XX HT again lol

don’t even bother with hyper grav xx tempest, if you want to connect the tempest after the rom just rom land and rj.lk call psylocke rj.lk xx tempest, thats a for sure tempest right there, dhc ect ect. alot of people know how to mash out already, it’s not worth doing. use it only on sents

he means normal jump, but i guess re jump is technically okay, but it is a normal jump not a super jump, that is why u can call assists.

is there another part to dat vid seal? I heard someone say set 2…?

Dont forget to DHC to storm at about 20 tempest hits for damn near 100% combo if nessecary. Unmashable is to sweet. Just in case anyone messes with Iron Man, his traditonal unmashable setup is pretty similar, just make sure to fierce or RH right before the tempest.

Also, instead of n.jump lk+IM, FP, MT, I saw someone, (I think commy) messing with :
ROM, land, s.RH+IMxxfly MT, you are setup for fly inf after the tempest with that, and if mess around with it, you can either unfly combo back to the ground, or do a FPxxMTxxPC. Just nasty.

Well I’am starting to get the magic series into HG XX MT down. I practiced just doing launch, lp, mp, HG XX MT so I could get used to the timing and eventually moved into the actual thing. I noticed at certain heights I could come down after the MT and c.lk, c.hk the opponent and keep the combo going into Magento’s other stuff. Is this practical in game?

You could roll out of the MT so you may or may not OTG them. you could sometimes, if your on the ground, time it right and depending on the height of the character . if your in the air, you could do another magic series HG XX MT and another ect. coming down from an air hg xx mt, well since you could roll, your not going to otg someone in a real match. so to answer your question, no it’s not practical, the whole hg xx mt isn’t much of sure thing either. so i would say just stick with the jump lk+psy, lk xx mt thingie.

just keep doing magic series x tempest, only people that will prob mash out of it are people at evo, your local arcade chumps prob can’t mash out of it

people do know how to mash out now and it sucks!!! its possible to continue it on the ground right after MG hits u hit c.lk as they are falling then c.roundhouse then continue the rom and do it again or tempest and dhc…

it’s good with an assist.

Here are some HG xx Temp combos that are virtually unmashable.

Storm Projectile

c.hp, sj, hk, addf, lk, lk, land, s.hk (1 hit) + call storm, xx hgtemp

Doom anti air

you can do the same one as storm’s projectile one
c.lk, c.hk, xx sj, add, hk, land, c.hk + call rocks xx hgtemp

I know there’s some ghetto ass one with rocket punch, where you go hg xx temp and the rp hits between the hg and the temp.

i dunno.
