Madcatz TE2 for the Xbox One Releasing April, 2014

People forgot freight, logistics, and assembly cost money too.

Waiting on some PS4 loving too before I pick one up since I got no Xboneee

Not to mention development costs. The Plastic Molds alone require a few thousand sold to break even.

You’re both right, the TE2 is a very nice stick. For my to import two buttons and a ball top was going to cost $50 shipped so you don’t hear me complaining.

My only gripe is Madcatz need to drop the single format stick and make them support all consoles. I’d happily pay more.

If they did that, they’d lose all official business relationships with Microsoft AND Sony.
Neither MS nor Sony want ANY peripheral to be usable on their competitor’s hardware, even 3rd party stuff.

Dual system support is likely not happening since they are doing official licensed peripherals for the platforms unlike Qanba and whoever else on the market. I wish for this too!

I understand that, but it’s kind of shitty for the consumer, there’s only so many fight sticks I’d want to buy

Get your stick dual/triple-modded. Solves all problems.

Back on-topic, I’m wondering if there are any plans of selling additional side-panels in different colors like with the TE casing. Though that really only happened like… 4 years after the TE was released.
The casing’s cool, but red’s not really my color…

Keep in mind legitimate manufacturers like Mad Catz and Hori are not going to jeopardize there relationships with Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
Qanba is very Greymarket and did not obtain licenses from anyone. Qanba saving grace is they are HQ over in China where IP law is a laughable concept.

I’m pretty excited to see what’s on the horizon from Madcatz anyway, but kudos man the fact that the buttons and art so easily interchangeable is a massive plus.

There are supposed to be all kinds of factory mod options in the near future including side panels and top panels with different button layouts. TE2 with Noir will be godlike.

Not sure if anyone has the answers to this on here but… Is the KI stick still in production? I figured if I’m going to pick one up I might as well get the one with LEDs and clear buttons since both sticks are the same price.

No, not the KI version of the TE2.
