Madcatz TE2+ broken front release button

Hi all, I recently bought a used te2+ from a friend and found out that the idiot broke the front release button, now if you don’t know what that is it’s the button you hold down to open the top up to access the storage compartment.

I’m not exactly good at explaining but the clip that holds it down snapped off.
What mine looks like:

I tried searching for posts on the subject but couldn’t find anything,How exactly would I go about modding/fixing this issue? What would I need? if anyone could help me I’d greatly appreciate it.

You’re SOL with this stick unless you can mold your own replacement latch. You’ll just have to accept it as it is or get a new TE2 (or better yet, a stick that won’t break so easily and is from a manufacturer that isn’t dead so it can be RMA’d).
