Madcatz TE stick has a busted side panel, advice on how to fix?

After flying across the country to move in with my significant other. I noticed that one of my checked bags had been searched and they literally beat the shit out of my TE Round 2 arcade stick. The plexi I had on the front is cracked and one of the side panels hangs off of it. I can get the plexi replaced but I’m trying to figure out what to do about the side panel. I don’t think I can just push it back in place.
Here are some pictures of the damage:

I guess you going to have to epoxy the side to the main body.
There are various glues you can use, but in my mind super glue and hot glue will not cut it, you want a 2 part epoxy.

Consider next time keeping your stick in your carry on, or the lugage the stick is going in has plenty of padding

Now you have an excuse to get wood side panels.

All you need is a screw driver, drill, and a little time. Optionally, throw in some sand paper, mineral spirits and minwax wipe on polyurethane and an old shirt you can cut up will also help make it nice.

Thanks a lot for the responses, and I actually did carry my other (much, MUCH more important) stick on with me. I had no clue they were going to pummel the shit out of my extra one.

Yo isn’t that something that you can file a complaint for?

It’s not like it’s hard to disassemble, they could have easily just unscrewed it if they needed to see what was inside.

What would this other stick be? I’m asking purely out of curiosity.

Anyway, it is very sad to hear about your stick being damaged in transit. Hate to say it, but Airliners are very rough on your bags, and it doesn’t help anybody. Next time I’d advise you mail your more sensitive belongings(and chances are it will be cheaper than paying for an extra suitcase anyway). I’d honestly say that the Wooden Panels are your best bet, but epoxying down the one that is broken will work just fine provided you know what you are doing.

My other stick is also a TE, but it’s got a cthulhu multi-console chip, made to work on PS3/PS2/PC/360, a mesh bottom in place of rubber feet, art featuring my waifu, and mesh balltop. It means so much more than that in terms of sentimental value. The person (The Legendary BlueNINE) that did the mod for me went through a fucking ton, including going to the ER and getting stiches because of a mistake taking out the plexi.

The art was put together by one of my best pals whom I no longer live near so it was kind of like a going away present:

Pic of the connectors so that I could play glorious Guilty Gear:

The bottom of the stick, complete with mesh material and sweet Cthulhu sticker:

My primary stick is much more than just that to me, it’s a great reminder of the awesome community that I came from.

…fuck

Here is how a typical baggage handler handles your luggage. I can’t blame him though. Having to lift a few hundred 50 lb bags every day, eventually you have no strength to be gentle with every single stuffed piece of baggage. There is no human way possible to get the baggage on and off the plane in time and be gentle about this shit.
