Necropost, but maybe someone has had some luck in the last few years.

I have an old SF4 SE PS3, it works on a friend’s machine so it’s not fault. It detects in Windows 10 as PC USB Wired Stick 8818, no inputs detected, the usual story.

I’m running a Dell XPS 9550 with an i7, which seems to have an Intel 100 series chipset and has USB 3 ports. The USB controller in device manager say: “Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft)”. So in theory it should support UHCI.

If I run

sc query usbuhci

the service is started.

Did anyone ever figure out how to get this going? Are there any USB hubs/switches which can act as a converter?

I hope that it does work. Every time that I recommended the 360 stick for PC people would correct me saying that that the PS3 stick would definitely work as well. If it doesn’t then I’m sure someone will put together some drivers up for it. Are there any wired PS3 Mad Catz pads? I’d try using the drivers from those if such a thing exists.

Mad Catz TE1 PS3 not working on PC

Hey, I just bought SFV and wanted to play it with my Mad Catz TE1 Round 1 and somehow it gets detected but no buttons are working (even with x360ce). I have a ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 Mobo which uses USB 3.0 and I have read that it should work on USB 3.0. Can anyone help me with this matter?

Madcatz TE Round1 Stick USB Compatibility Issues

I’m having trouble finding a solution for making this stick work on my newer PC. The stick shows up on my devices as pc usb wired stick 8838 and doesn’t register any inputs on the stick. Hubs aren’t converters, they are mostly switches/repeaters for USB.

Currently the best solution is swapping out the PCB in your stick with one that is compatible.
Many of these older Mad Catz TE PCB are of dubious quality anyways.
