Since I have a wireless headset, I never bothered testing the microphone port on my stick until today. I’m able to hear from it, but not record from. All I hear is some static and I’ve tested the headset on my wireless controller so I know it’s working.
Anyone know what the problem might be? Doesn’t seem like it would be a wiring issue if it works halfway.
Are you using the adapter that came with the stick? For me I had to use it with my wired headphones.
i’ve tried with and without it. My wired headset is one of the newer models with a normal 2.5mm jack
Yeah mine as well, I remember my TE simply would not see the mic unless I used the adapter anyway. So still issues even with it? Then it’s either the headset (test it with another controller?) or perhaps the little board that facilitates the mic connection.
nevermind, i found out the problem. I had plugged the mic harness in the wrong way when I reassembled the pcb after my dual mod. Well that was dumb of me!
I’m having the same problem, but I can’t see any way I could get the headset cable plugged in the wrong way. It has little plastic rails preventing it from going in backwards.
You’re talking about the header that plugs in on the left side of the main PCB, right?
