Madcatz TE fightstick "please reconnect controller" error

that 000 thing, it is a 0 ohm resistor. it does nothing other than bridging a gap and serve as a placeholder for an actual resistor with a actual Ohm value. Every once in awhile a PCB does not work for some odd reason, so those 0 ohm resistors are replaced with a resistor with a higher ohm value to get that PCB in working order.

There also sometimes empty spots on PCBs where some part is supposed to be soldered in place.

Could be that one switch I told you about thats on the Chimp.

You mean that maybe the switch on Chimp responsible for changing PS3/Xbox mode stopped working?

I can live with that if my stick still connects to a PS3, holding buttons to connect to xbox/pc isn’t that much of a hassle… Gonna test the stick on a PS3 today and I’ll update the results.

Thanks so far guys

Update:

Teste it on PS3. Didn’t Work.

Actually it’s worse than not working. First attempt to plug the controller on PS3, crashed the videogame, we had to reset.
Any other attempts to plug the controller on PS3, my controller didn’t work, and it also messed up other people’s controllers (random inputs happening all the time)

Using CHIMP “solo” works fine on PS3/PC tho, so yeah, I’ll have to do some more investigation on my dual mod.

Another update.

I re-did all of the wiring, and did it the right way this time.
It’s now working on both consoles and on PC. The only thing that is different now is that the homg/guide button doesn’t work, instead I have to press start+select.

But I can live with this.

Thanks for eveything guys!
