Madcatz EVO Fightstick 2012

Kuya_Joe told me story when you came by.
Laugh.

That is right.
PlayStation 3 EVO Stick.
No Dual Mod, just ArcEye 3 and Remora.

Yep :]! But where do you put your PCBs…

Excellent idea. Hadn’t thought of that. Do you have pics of yours so I can see what you did?

Default location. PS3 MadCatz only has one PCB in the turbo area.

D3v should post some of his wiring jobs, just so we know how its done.

Really!? Calling out someones dignity in regards to wiring a stick? COME ON!

I’m getting kind of tired of people posting their hard work only to be told it isn’t “Godlike” enough or good enough, or it should be done only in one particular style. Completely dismissing someones work as not good enough isn’t the point of Tech Talk last time I checked.

Sorry, no more clean mods from me.

“D3V that wiring is J&J crazy wiring. The wiring van did was pretty good average joe wiring.” I do respect his wiring and it was very good. I’m just saying in the future if he has nothing on his hand then he could revise the wiring (shorten the distance drastically) from the ChimpSMD to the PCB to save some real estate. I’m just offering actual advice.

Like Van said earlier. “[he] can take the criticism, but can you suggest how it can be done better?”. Not that I criticized his work but I gave a suggestion. He doesn’t have to take my word of advice because his wiring is good and heck changing the distance between the PCB and Chimp does not have to be done. I am just telling him a route Joe took on my Pro stick with some easy dremel work.

lol that’s not my point and you know it!

Cerberus boards coming on tuesday.
I’m putting a certain white pcb beside that other white pcb and the post has already been dremeled out…

You’ll just have to wait and see until then when that mod will be finished~

:3

You

you dremeled your post on your evo stick? How much did you take off hopefully my attempt to remove the JST’s will work to combine both boards but I will probably have to shave the posts down a tiny bit, just have to be careful since everything is so visible outside the case

Yeah I ended up dremeling the post on the stick just enough to have clearance for the sparky pwm board. The JST’s are still staying though, but they’re sleeved already.

So I noticed there was something different about my A button on my stick, and after opening it up saw that it was madcatz button and not a sanwa :frowning: The rest are fine.

Hope you can help me out Markman!

It says you can still buy these on at MadCatz store, is there a difference between those and the ones given out at EVO?

These are the ones that were supposed to be given out at EVO, but they never made it to EVO, so are being sold on the madcatz store instead. They are still limited edition, so get them while you can!

How could you tell the difference without opening it up? My B button on my fightstick pro does sound a little off from the other buttons.

If you look at the edges of the button from the top, you’ll notice that madcatz buttons have a sharper edge on the plunger vs. the Sanwa buttons.

ps - dont quote the image

How about sound wise?

Dunno about sound. I’m not the best with the hearing

You were noticing the issue while playing? Would the button not respond as great?

I noticed the issue with the button itself since it looked different from the rest
