I do that all the time for PC Fan cable sleeving.
So I just installed this with a 2017 Audio Board into a Mad Catz SFIV TE and it was relatively painless. Couple issues / questions though:

How is the lock switch supposed to work? For me, it disables buttons when it is in the unlock position. Moving it to the lock position enables buttons, and moving it to the unlock position brings up the PS4 quick home menu. Something seems wrong. I am using a 20-pin harness if that makes a difference. [/s] Well, Iām an idiot. I connected ground and Home backwards. That would explain it. I stil have a question though - will having the 20 pin harness connected affect anything? That is, it also has Home and Ground connected, but to nothing since Iām using the screw terminals via this board instead. Itās late, so Iāll test it tomorrow.

You canāt seem to use the audio breakout in combo with the ps4+ audio board usb/audio breakout. I originally connected this audio breakout and connected the brook breakout, but only with the usb pins connected. It would register as always having headphones connected (when none were connected), and would switch to tv audio when headphones were connected! It seems you can only use one or the other. Is there a way to use this audio board and a separate usb? Do I need to connect not to the usb pins, but instead to the usb port?
- The home is supposed to be link to either the 20 pin harness or the screw terminals. The K-ground is supposed to be link to the start and select button, so you can control them with the lock switch.
- If you have the headphones always connected that means the PS4+ detects the āsenseā pin on the jack is open. Itās supposed to be closed (grounded) to have the sound on TV. Your behaviour is inverted. Iāll check at home tonight, but seems a ground issue. Have you tried the audio breakout alone?
Ok thatās good to know about the KGND. I will see what I can do with that.
I will also test more tonight
Ok I know whatās going. It totaly works with the breakout USB.
However, it appears you have a bad cable for my audio board: one of the housing in the wrong direction makint the the pins being inverted. Try the cable from the other kit.
Test with the other one.
You can either fix it yourself with a needle and remove each six pin from the housing and replace it the other way, or I can send you an other cable.

Hereās what a correct harness should like:

See the black wire? It should be opposite on each connector.
Hereās the pinout:

Or I can send you an other cable. Contact me in PM if you want to.
I apologies for the inconvenience.
On the Up side that the same process you have to go though if you want to sleeve that cable in tech flex
Bumpin the thread: The kit is now with presoldered pinhead for LS/DP/RS.

You can still ask for the JST connector.
Bump!
We nearly ending the 50pcs batch Iāve made for the front panels. (around 10 to go)
Thank you!
I still have a shiton of audioboard though.
Now, I know the activity of the forum drop since we moved, but are they anybody stil intrested in those boards?
Beacause it took me 10 month to sell 50pcs so Iām not sure if Iāll run an other batch.
What feature whould you like to see?
For people who bought it what improvement would you think I could do?
Cheers!
These boards are great! I bought a few of the first batch and love the sticks they are in.
In terms of other features, I think I hit you up a while back about fully utilizing the 8 turbo button spaces for LEDs.
The TEKitty had a cool feature where it would reflect button presses to the LEDs normally used for Turbo. I just donāt think many people have use for turbo switches, here anyways. If you could add the 3 additional LEDs and either piggyback off of the 20-pin header, or just require a harness be plugged in and routed to the UFB screw terminals, that would be a great addition. Those LEDs saved buttloads of time in diagnosing bad connections between the buttons and the controlling PCB.
If this is at all possible, then Iād be greatly interested in a new revision.
Regardless, this board is awesome!
I got myself a front panel PCB and a headphone jack PCB from OP and theyāre great. Installed without a hitch and works perfectly. The only nitpick I can make is that I need to plug in my headphones into the jack pretty hard to make it connect well, but itās not the end of the world. These parts are a great upgrade option for these old Madcatz sticks to make them more compatible with the Brook PS4+ PCB. Even better that itās all no soldering required, just plug and play. Looking forward to any further stuff OP will make and sell.
Hi everyone!
From now on, Jasenās Custom will be on charge for this mod!
Whatever happened to the audio boards? They didnāt make the jump to Jasenās Customs it appears
Nope, Jasenās wasnāt intrested since itās only for the PS4+ audio, while the Front panel is for more universal. I still have a lot of them in my store.
