But yeah, good episode. I feel like Don must think Duck is the one that knocked Peggy up.
My favorite line of the episode:

I don’t think that will happen. The episode was trying to show the importance of Don and Peggy’s relationship by airing out all their dirty laundry and secret opinions of each other and moving past them. Notice how Don’s only friend happened to pass away right when Pegs and Don’s relationship fermented? He said he lost the only person in the world that truly knew him, but Peg’s reciprocation shows that she wholeheartedly accepts him for who he is.
My favorite part of that episode (which might be my favorite overall) was the look on Pete’s face when the 2 women he fathered children with were both exiting the same restroom.

It’s funny because I feel the same way towards Peggy as Don does. She’s cute to me, but it’s mainly respect for her character and the presence she brings to the show. Which is funny because although Joan is a sex symbol on the show, Peggy is one that I always focus on.

Don is really trying to redeem himself, I’m impressed.
He even turned down that chick who’s been denying his advances for months. It’s nice to see him with another woman who actually is an intellectual equal.
I liked the camera work for the scene where Don was tempted to drink at the meeting and the room started to zoom away, showing his separation from his fellow drinkers.

I expected that scene to segue into Don becoming a teetotaller, but then I remembered I was watching Mad Men.
so do we think don is writing a book or keeping a journal? either way good episode. if any of you guys listen to the BS report it’s looking like the guy they had on awhile talking about the rockerfeller storyline might have been on to something.
Best episode of the season, as far as I’m concerned.
rewatching some of the older episodes while drunk is really great. this series is awesome. the intensity of don draper’s management style - like the scene where he turned peggy down for the hilton account - just keeps me coming back.
mos def a great episode. i guess there’s no point in leaving any mystery on don’s character now. getting to hear don’s thoughts is effective but i don’t know if it’s necessary. really surprised he turned down that psych chick, she was lookin good too.
and that francis guy annoys me, fuck him. and i’m glad that douche was fired. he’s annoying too.

And that dude who got fired was fucking CRAZY. Like, at first, I was like
Wow, this dude is crazy, getting all up in Joan’s face like that over nothing.
And then I was like
Wow, this dude is actually a fucking crazy person.
Like, if you rewatch the episode…him blowing up at Joan, him talking about his mom out of nowhere, him totally misinterpreting Harry’s acting suggestion, him not at all understanding the social cues of the people around him or why people would be upset, him flipping out when he got fired, and of course the picture he drew (and then put on Joan’s window…??!).
I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back at the end of the season and shot somebody. I don’t think it’ll happen, but that dude is fucking nuts.
