Mad Max: Fury Road AKA The Action Movie We Never Knew We Deserved

Speaking of which, I brought my parents with me. They saw the first Gibson Mad Max way back then on one of their dates. They loved the new one.

Then yesterday he just saw in the news that Terminator, Star Wars and Jurassic Park will be coming out. He was like:

Don’t forget Aliens and Predator are coming back soon, too

Of course, that’s how they roll in the wasteland

Just watched the film again

I got to say I think the second half is better than the first one, or at least it did the trick to me.

My favorite chase sequence is Max and Furiosa vs the canyon motorcycle gang. Great music

BTW, Miller says there’s a story to tell about the flaming guitar player:

.

Its actually one of the best years for movie goers for quite some time.

Avengers (seen)
Ant Man (last trailer won me over)
Fantastic 4(probably shit but still gonna see it)
Mad Max(going this week)
Jurassic Park (probably meh)
Terminator (probably meh)
Mission Impossible
James Bond
Man from UNCLE
Mr. Holmes (Old man Magneto playing Sherlock Holmes)
Star Wars
Legend
Absolutely Anything (Simon Pegg and Robin Williams in the same movie!)
Black Mass (A Johnny Depp movie that might not suck)
SouthPaw

Edit forgot
Hateful Eight
Pixels (probably going to be a turd)
Pan
Hitman

I can honestly say that after seeing that movie, I haven’t felt that way about a movie since seeing the Matrix. Instant classic. Such a special film. Can’t wait for the sequel which is already in the works ^.^

Next two movies will be prequels (spoilers): http://nerdist.com/exclusive-next-two-mad-max-films-will-be-prequels/

Absolutely loved this movie. They did such a good and creative job creating their own post apocalyptic world. There’s just too much to describe. It’s not just the action (which was awesome), but the interesting culture & belief systems (chroming the mouth in preparation for death) and just the overall technology of the world. Really got me into it.

Old man was referring to the year these films where originally released which was around 79 to mid 90’s.

One thing that bugged me.

2000 hp boosted nitromethane behemoth shouldn’t have driven that long.

Because of fuel consumptuon.

We need efficient engines like the ones they have

I mean if you want to be that technical… [details=Spoiler]they put a fucking fire out with sand while somehow travelling with the carb closed and magically kept the same speed at which point they open the throttle back up and no sand got in[/details]… Comon bro its a movie ahaha

Spoiler

I was more curious as to why they would take every single warrior to go after a handful of people leaving their home base completely undefended.

Spoiler

Because the boss man ordered it.

Because the boss is an idiot.

The guy in the tank treaded car and the fatty with the fake nose and gross feet were saying the same thing as you.

Just watched this movie last night (non 3-D). This movie is probably the best movie I’ve seen so far this year.

You mean to say you wouldn’t take an entire army for that redhead?

It actually depends. It seems the five girls were the only decent/viable women to breed with in the whole land. And healthy descendance is really important to survive…

words cannot describe the experience of watching this movie.

only thing that can be said really is GO. SEE. IT. NOW.

Considering how he deified himself, his massive ego wouldn’t allow it. That and he wanted a non-mutato son to carry on his legacy.
