Mad Catz TE2 Type N Plexi

Afternoon all,

I’m a little ashamed to admit it, but I got salty recently and fist-hammered my TE2, which bent the Vewlix metal panel and distorted it. I have just received a replacement panel - a Type N one with the artwork and cover.

Problem is, it’s not a proper plexi cover like the one you get with the stick as standard. It’s a cheap, discoloured, flimsy cover, which looks horrid and moves around a little.

Jasen’s Customs is deployed until who knows when and Tek Innovations discontinued Type N plexi.

Does any one know who can supply a proper Type N plexi? I’m in the UK but will order from overseas if the price is right.

You could try mailing arcadeforge.de to ask if he can produce some. Their prices are rather high though

Problem there is Plexy covers aren’t standard on Retail Arcade sticks.

The Plexy cover is something we modders added to our sticks as an aftermarket part.

For most, yes. But you get one as standard on TE2’s. It’s the type N equivalent of that I need.

I’ll try them. I checked them already and they don’t stock them as standard but there’s no harm in asking. Thanks.

tek innovation produces the plexi for Type N, just not available on the website because he said too many people were ordering it, without realizing you need to have the metal type N panel. Contact him directly, and he’ll give you the link for the page, he said it exists, but just hidden because of too much confusion.
