Mad Catz TE2 for XBOX ONE, the best bookends ever? (PC Compatibility)

Hi there!

I already own 2 Mad Catz TE2 fightsticks for XBOX ONE that I would like to use on my PC and I think I’m not the only one screwed here…

As you know, Mad Catz released some drivers for the PS4 versions but not for the XBOX ONE version. I bought 2 Brook Converters (XBOX 360/XBOX ONE to PS4) for using them on PS4 (only for KOF XIV) but I’ve got all my games on Steam (GG, SFIV, SFV, Blazblue, Melty Blood, tons of shmups…+KI) and there’s absolutely no solution to make them work.

When plugged directly on PC, they are recognized as “FIGHTSTICK” but not showed as a controller (but you can use it in the XBOX app). When used with Brook Converters, they are recognized as “PS4 Wired Gamepad V2.0” and they only work with Direct Input compatible games…

So, is there a way to make them work on PC as both Mad Catz & Microsoft said they will not release any driver (by being incompetent?). Microsoft said to ask Mad Catz and Mad Catz said to ask Microsoft…

I tried DS4Windows but the Brook Converters aren’t recognized as PS4 gamepads.

Is there any solution to make them compatible with XInput?

Thanks for your help!

Problem is that the Xbox One TE2 was built to specs provided by Microsoft and not to Xbox One controller specs. PC compatibility was never intended for the Xbox One TE2 .
Only certain Xbox One games are compatible with with it on the console, example the Xbone DOA games does not work with it at all.

I would say replace the main PCB with something that is PC compatible.

Pretty sure there is some software you can get that will turn any controller into a 360 controller

That’s exactly what I need but both Mad Catz & Microsoft don’t seem to care about it for the reasons Darksakul said…

A driver was planned with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update last August but they completely failed…

Nah the one I’m thinking of was a third party bit of software rather than a driver. can’t think of the name of it for the life of me though =/

x360ce?

x360ce is a pain in the *ss because you have to put it in every game folder and configure it. For a game or two, it’s great but for tons of games, it’s an absolute waste of time.

IMO, the best solution would be a Brook Converter for XBOX ONE to XBOX 360…

Best solution is a complete PCB replacement in the stick.

you just have to configure it once and copy paste it then in the different game folders.
how many games which you want to play with your stick do you have that such a simple action will waste your time?

Glad I still own my TE2 360 stick I bought for $75 when MadCatz had that BOGO free deal. :coffee:

I looked for solutions for a year. Got an ez mod and a brook board, its still a fantastic stick. Wasn’t hard to install at all. Or sell it and get a different stick.

That would be a huge waste if the OP is only concerned with pc support. There are super cheap and easy replacements.

Old thread but just came across it. My solution was a cronusmax set to output>360 . Been using it like that for a couple years. I went that route to fix LT/RT which wouldnt work on pc. Works perfect on any console and pc. Also got tired of having to hook up the dongle every time so I made it internal

Well that’s one way of preventing a cronus max from physically damaging your console/pc’s usb port good work around.
