I was thinking about getting one of these panels, adding buttons and a stick to it along with quick disconnects for a 2 minute or less panel swap. The main reason I would do this instead of buying a whole new stick is I have dual modded my TE. Probably looking at a cost of around $80-85 give or take (I’m not terrible concerned about the cost)
I am confident I can set up my stick with quick disconnects using a db connector or 2 RJ45s, but was wondering about the tutorial mentioned earlier in the thread. I searched but could not find it. Does anyone have the link?
So after playing the demo on PS3, how do you even play this game with 6 buttons, the demo uses all 8. Is there a way to activate x-ray and swap characters using button combos?
I am actually going to be finishing my tutorial on how to do this when i recieve my female db 15s.
You can see it started here http://shoryuken.com/f177/tutorial-how-wire-te-db-15-swappable-custom-panels-264081/
I have the wires in the TE wired to a male db15, I just have to wire my replacement panels to a db15, but this will also work with the madcatz panels.
I guess you missed my earlier post about this very issue. For MK9 on the Fightstick, you can do the R1 throw using Front Punch and Front Kick pressed together, and you can trigger the XRay by hitting Front Kick, Block, Back Kick together. You can also do the L2 flip stance by hitting both kicks. And the old “Run” button is now used for Tag Team.
The only button that may have tab clearance issues is the middle Block button. All the other buttons line up with the original TE layout. I did bend the tabs on that button to be safe.
Can someone post what the button layout is for xbox? From the pics it looks like
low punch is A
high punch is X
low kick is B
high kick is Y
block is RT
run is LB?
I had to bend the tabs on mine for the block button. It kept rising above the panel if I didn’t do that. Then again, my wiring is all over the place under the hood so if you kept it neat, you might not experience a problem.
