I have to agree. I would keep it.
Celerity is right, the collectors who would want this are too few for you ever to get anything approaching its worth (considering it’s a two-of-a-kind stick for the specific console).
You should keep the stick.
The art is horrid (albeit limited).
The box is a stock box that came with regular Fightstick Pros.
Does the label even say something like “1/1” or any sort of indication that it’s a one-off?
This holds extreme sentimental value for you, but none for anybody who wants to buy it.
Imagine if you walked into Pawn Stars with this.
Rick: I’m not saying that this isn’t what you’re saying it is, but I don’t know anything about this type of stuff. Can I call in a guy I know to take a look at it?
You: Sure.
Rick calls in a fanboy consultant.
Consultant inspects stick, possibly looks into the details of the contest.
Consultant: All right, it looks like everything’s in order. This was in fact a contest prize, and it doesn’t look like the print was forged. The stick has no noticeable wear on it so he’s not lying when he says it’s new. This is the real deal.
Rick: So how much is it worth?
Consultant: Well, it’s practically the only type of its kind, but the problem is that there’s not really a market for something this specific. Also, the art isn’t the most desirable. It may be a contest exclusive, done for nostalgia purposes, but it’s not very attractive as a result. The regular versions of these sticks go for about $150, so I’d put this one at… [longass fucking pause] $200, maybe $250 max.
Rick: Thanks for coming in [shakes hands].
Rick: So how much do you want for it?
You: Well, he said $250.
Rick: The problem is, I gotta make a profit. I could get $250 for it myself, but that’s after I do what’s needed to get it in the system, and then it’s taking up space on the floor, et cetera et cetera… I have to start out below that. I’ll give you $150 for it.
You: He just said that the regular versions go for $150. This is way more limited than that.
Rick: I’ll give you $140 for it.
(If you’re a gambling addict)
You: All right, it’s a deal. [shakes hands]
(If you’re not a gambling addict)
You: Um, I think I’ll just hang onto it.
Rick: All right, thanks for coming in [shakes hands].
You @ the camera outside the shop: I don’t think he’s willing to give me anything close to what I’d like, so I’ll hang on to it for now and see if it goes up in value.
I own a CC and a Femme Fatale, both of which are easier to unload than this, and I’m hanging on to them. You should hang on to this stick too, unless you are reeeeeeealy short on money. Like Nsc said, put it in your mancave.
Sell it to MarkMan.
What MarkMan probably isn’t telling us is that he had a third set of these sticks made to add to his personal archive!
One thing you might consider, if you have the know-how for it, is listing the stick on ebay.co.jp instead of ebay.com. It might fetch a higher price among Japanese collectors than Americans.
I just purchased the avengers stick on ebay. There are a bunch of scratches on the bottom 4 corners of the fight stick and it has been plugged in and out of a console. Also the warranty void sticker was screwed thru. I’m guessing this is all from madcatz putting the artwork on. I also noticed MrWezzle sold another super rare capcom arcade fightstick.
Is it possible that these are somehow fake? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris
Pretty sure madcatz knows enough to add the sticker last.
Link goes to nothing. Auction ended. Post a pic.
Here is a pic.

also just found this… http://www.capcom-unity.com/xantista/blog/2013/05/28/announcing-the-cac-slumber-party-stay-up-late-with-unity-and-win-a-capcom-arcade-cabinet-fightstick
just found out why my fightstick is so effed up… it’s because of these two a-holes…
What is weird as well is that the plexiglass (if that’s the material it’s made of) is really thin and wavy. You can see it in the picture up close. I don’t think the original fight stick pro’s had thin wavy plexiglass. I guess it would be a big waste of time and money to make fake stick’s to sell at $120.00 on ebay. Maybe I’m crazy… on any note… would someone like to play some STREET FIGHTER 4 AE!!! add me on xbox live!!

@Markman confirmed a while back in another thread that they made like 4 each (2 Xbox360, 2 PS3?) of 5 or 6 of the Arcade Cabinet games for Capcom, who kept one of each artwork and gave the others away in a contest, so yeah, they are pretty rare.
He did say that they were standard off the shelf Pros with the custom artwork added to them, but the fact that they were done by Mad Catz and they can confirm it, does add a bit of value to them.
Perhaps @Markman will stop by and share the details.
One can only wish. Now I have to catch them all!
