Mad Catz Arcade FightStick KE (Korean Edition) - AVAILABLE NOW for 360 and PS3

This is a strange design using Korean and Japanese parts together and changing up the triggers. Kinda looks like they gutted unsold Brawl sticks and made them into pseudo k sticks.

Hmm…I do see your point. If you’re going to make a Korean Edition, why not go all out and do the buttons, too?

The Crown buttons will not fit correctly in 30mm holes used on the SE/Brawl top panel.

It’s cost…

Mad Catz would have to make new molds to be able to use Crown buttons. Molds cost on the order of 5-figures ($10,000 grand and up) so companies want to get their money’s worth out of them before the molds get destroyed.
There are many stories of master molds being used for decades before being retired after they reach their ultimate wear point or crack.
That and despite all the acclaim for K-sticks, the Japanese stuff is way more popular in the US.
The only J-joystick case that I’m aware that fits Crown buttons is the Agetec case and that’s only IF you keep the original metal faceplate on unmodded or craft a new plexiglass or Lexan faceplate with the 28mm face holes. The actual plastic holes underneath the metal are 30mm. You’d still have to use the new Crown 303-FK in that case if you wanted a full K-stick.

For all the complaining in the forum, the only company that came forward and crafted a Japanese-case compatible lever was Crown. What happened to the other Korean companies? Maybe they just don’t think the market outside of Asia is big enough and frankly don’t care.

Have always wanted to try out a K stick, I may have to check out one of these when it gets released. Although I wish it had a bigger body and the Fanta stick in it.

If you just want to try it out you might as well just order the Crown itself

Myoungshin is way better than Crown…

We wanted to do something different. So we went with the SE case. For the most part, these have no problems fitting the other sticks either. Just really tight for the Noir layout ones.

I hear you but, if someone wanted to get this stick and mod it with Sanwa buttons later, it’d be much harder for them to do. If they want to mod it with crown buttons, they can do that if they get the spacers to make it fit.

As of right now, this is going to be North America only. If it does well, we’ll see about doing it worldwide.

The reason im not liking this is because i know of cases where (because it doesn’thave a cable compartment) people tend to roll their cords around their stick, after sometime it becomes loose and unresponsive… one of my boys had to cut some cable and rewire it… other than that, yeah for sure im getting one of these… I love crown sticks

erm… then why not have them come with Crown buttons and the spacers to begin with? If people wanted to mod them with Sanwa parts later then they could so.

^ there are lots of reasons, but the easy one I’ll tell you is cost. We are doing this as a limited product to see how it does.

That’s all there is to it.

Still respect to an American brand for giving Korean parts their own out of the box stick. I expected it to be this, but at least it’s this at all.

I live in Korean and can’t get KE stick lol…

No one can get it cuz it’s not out yet. lol.

I must be out of it because I read that message as …

roughly when will it be available markman?

@MarkMan
Any chance we can get review copies for the SRK front page?

WIll there be an option for different layouts other than vewlix?

unlikely as Markman said they are testing out to see if there even a market for Mad Catz to do Korean sticks.

If you guys just want the lever, they will be available on the Mad Catz store as well.
