M.O.D.O.K. Thread 2: Orgasm Harder

we’ll get used to it. No different than playin’ Stider.

Which was fucking hard! I HATE YOU WALL CLING! I HATE YOU SO FUCKING MUCH!

i said well get used to it! Now stop being a weeping pussy and get back in the kitchen!

We won’t get used to playing M.O.D.O.K

M.O.D.O.K. will get used to playing us.

how would he do alongside ironman and doom?

If I don’t weep Lord MODOK will have nothing to drink. It’s just that… I DON’T KNOW WHAT MODOK EATS! sob

We have our next MvC3 UK Fight Club this coming Saturday, what interesting things do you guys want me try with MODOK? Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to our last event.

We will be recording and uploading videos of whatever you guys suggest, as long as it’s interesting.

Firstly I want to see the damage difference between a Hyper Psyonic Blaster and a LOU lvl9 Hyper Psyonic Blaster. Same for his command grab too.

Also, what requirements are needed for the reversed controls Balloon Bomb? How many LOU’s are needed? Particular input? If you chuck out the reverse controls balloon bomb and it is blocked or vanishes do you lose the LOU’s you used to make it? Can you combo into it?

Anything else interesting guys?

I would love to see how much the shield can be abused at melee range. There was a video where Dante was standing between MODOK and his shield (i.e. the shield is not between the two), and Dante attacks but it does not connect because at some point the blade tip touches the shield, nullifying the entire attack. MODOK can also walk into/through the barrier and attack, and it will connect. This suggests the barrier is highly abusable, and I would love to see the limitations on this.

I wonder if your opponent can use the barrier too, to stop the push back and do bigger combos than they other wise would?

Someone is playing through arcade mode with MODOK, Sentinel, and Ironman right now. One strange thing that happened… MODOK sent out an Analyze cube and then dashed into it, taking damage and destroying the cube.

Was very interesting on the stream to see MODOK teabagging people with j. A (? the puny little Riverdance kicks) out of flight cancel (? however it was that he cut off his jump at extremely low height).

Not sure if his other jumping normals have good enough hitboxes/hitstun to start combos, but it’s interesting to see that MODOK seems to have at least some capacity for pseudo-tri-jump overhead offense. Not like he’ll spend a whole lot of time on the inside, but it’s always good to see a character’s options expand.

that’s a good point to bring up. I feel like Aegis will end up being a move than will be important to know WHEN to use it

At least the Aegis will be good for people who make combo videos if nothing else.

I think it was said that all of M.O.D.O.K.'s air attacks make him fall after he does them. Maybe that is wrong though. Walking up and down people’s faces is a good idea if your close to them though.

Try and test to see if Barrier’s wind-down is cancellable still like in this vid at 0.22 seconds. Maybe you can only cancel it with his launcher but maybe it works with specials and hypers.

Also try to see what options MODOK has after his wall bounce attack and if he can combo in to that atack

I know it’s rather old now, but he does some a basic wallbounce combo into Analyze Cube in his .

dem wallbounce combos are gonna be fun

I’d assume he can since barrier’s a command normal, those can almost always be cancelled into launcher/special/super. It may have something to do with the fact that it was a powered up barrier.

if we can do Aegis into laucher like it looked like he did in that one video, that’ll be awesome

so… if he can run into his own anal cube, does that mean he can analyse himself, and get levels of understanding?

I’ve read some of the discussion about a team with MODOK and Dormammu. Wondering if you guys think that Trish would be a solid third character for that team? I really want a good zoning team, but with some ability for offense if need be, and I think Trish brings just that. Otherwise, I’m likely to try Sentinel there…maybe.
