M.bison USF4 , any Rumors of buff/nerf changes?

3 frame start up on st.lk could be very usefull for those who can’t plink it with select

Capcom is just really weird sometimes. They manage to design some awesome characters gameplay wise, like Evil Ryu, Yun, Gen, Oni, Cody, even Cammy if she wasn’t so ridiculously OP, in the sense that they are offensive oriented but do not rely on gimmicky mixups (like El Fuerte or Viper), they are footsie based, yet not turtly or lame.

They are legitimately fun to watch, they do stuff, they move around a lot, yet they don’t (usually) rely on BS to win.

And then they create characters like Bison, who are rewarded for doing nothing and just countering what the opponent does. I really wish they made some characters more active, like making them able to punish the opponent for doing nothing but block. The way they are designed just promotes getting the lead and sitting on that, which is not fun to watch.

I understand variety, but some of them are just uninspired.

I’ll say

  1. Increase st.mp to 80 damage
  2. Headstomp followup should fall fast enough to not be shitty and constantly punishable
  3. Psycho crusher stun increase
  4. Standing roundhouse - one hitbox. WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS ONE

I just want the scissors back to 0 and the teleport back to the old recovery, nothing more.

But if they wanted to make Bison really competitive they could decrease the pushback on scissors on the first hit (on hit). The pushback kills a lot of opportunities to red focus. It’s funny how red focus was made to be useful for charge characters but others like Evil Ryu, Yun and Cody make much better use.

Give him damage.

Aim for the stars and stop being modest about it. We were modest last time and look what happened.

  1. st.mp to 80 damage (give us a reason to use this in hit confirms outside of hitbox on cr.mk not reaching and poking) reduce the startup to 5 frames (this is not needed exactly but reach for the stars)
  2. +10 damage to st.hk, st.mk, cr.lk, st.lk (why not? Rose wins evo and as far as the character is concerned most of what changed for her was she got a damage buff of exactly this variety to the normals she uses most. Yes I know the player has a lot to do with it but you can’t tell me that didn’t help a ton)
  3. One damage value for st.hk (that nerf was retarded and only punishes you for using it like you are supposed to)
  4. More reliable Hell Attack (to me this move shouldn’t be beaten much air to air and shouldn’t be as clunky to use as it is)
  5. Revert the damage nerf to U2 and make the startup something reasonable like 8-10 frames, if the reason you are afraid of doing that is because it can crossup then make it so it can’t crossup (Decapre’s U2 is everything Bison’s U2 should be but isn’t and the reason is largely the startup)
  6. Reduce pushback on hit for cr.mp (might open up better combo opportunities from further out)

I just want my teleport back and 0 on my SK.

I would love to have more overall damage.

for me:
1 - revert smp dmg back to 90.
2 - revert u2 back to 450 and do it faster
3 - revert ex psycho back to 150 and don´t thrownable
4 - cr lp 3 frames
5 - make bison fall faster after a connected headstomp
6 - revert scissor lk 0 on block

It would be difficult to make it not-crossupable (shut up, I couldn’t think of a word) given that you can change his air trajectory - how would you feel about them reducing the startup like you said, but making the ultra home in on the front side of the opponent? It would be impossible to use this for “emergency corner escapes cause I have no health and meter” but its offensive uses would be so much greater in my opinion

I really like that Idea. Make it a 10-14 frame move, that always lands in front of the opponent. Take away the gimmick, and make it a move designed to be used as a reaction or a read. I would take this even if they nerfed the damage to 400 or less

The easiest way would be to make U2 work somehow like Makoto’s U2.
You press a button that will make Bison fly to a set place. Close, Mid, Far.

The long startup exists so we can steer his flight. If it’s not steerable, it can be faster.

If the ultra were to be changed to something like that, in order to make it not crossup they’d need to remove the hitbox on the back of his body, but if this were done there may be situations where you use the ultra and the ultra automatically goes on the other side of the character because of odd spacing forcing the ultra to drop

Is anyone else using W Ultras? Since ive never depended on Bisons Ultras before to win any matches I use it now. Personally I really love the utility of it. Jump at me and I’ll get you with nightmare booster with hell attack or not thanks to the faster startup. Whiff a move or throw a fireball and ill get you with Psycho Punisher. I feel that it makes players play more defensive making them more predictable.

Yeah, I think the idea in theory. But with the slow startup of U2, I find it’s applications to few to justify the loss in damage of U1. Therefore, while on the one hand I would like to use both, it turns out to not be worth it. So I roll with U1. Maybe in SOME MUs it might have it’s uses, but U1 is the general default to me. They would need to increase U2’s startup to make it worth the wild.

That’s a damn good Combo. Finally Bison has a corner combo. Granted he needs two bars to do it, but the damage is worth it! That makes Ultra and two bars with Bison highly worth the risk in putting people in the corner.

Seems like Hugo only combo to me.

I don’t think it’s Hugo exclusive. Focus into Headpress EX is around since vanilla. EX Skull Diver into Ultra 1 is possible on a lot of characters. Maybe everyone
