Fucking YES. I forget that artist’s name for CVS2, but I always wished a numbered SF iteration would model characters in this kind of style. The chunkfest that SFIV was really left me wanting total stylistic 360, meaning sharp, serious looking characters.
Bison was my secondary after claw but I could never get over how much of a satirical bad guy he was. Look at his goddamned face during a forward jumping H.kick. That’s the face I make during sex…not a fight.

By SF4, he was hanging out in a new host body allegedly better than the previous one but incomplete (because he was in a hurry to kick ass), yet he was able to tear open wormholes into the fabric of space and time, a feat that requires theoretically near impossible magnitudes of energy. I’d say he was in relatively good shape for someone in recovery. If SFV takes place after SF4 (something tells me it does unfortunately), he’d definitely be stronger but probably not at his full potential or very high potential as seen in SFA3.

Psycho Power is potentially limitless (he even says so in SF4) but it is also limited by the host body. In SFA3, he augmented his power with the Psycho Drive, sort of an external reserve that shares the burden being placed on his body. That didn’t turn out so well so I doubt he will go down that path again, plus the new cyborg implants seen in Seth and Juri are more compact than the massive Psycho Drive but probably not as potent, not as far as we’ve seen so far at least - the technology could’ve improved. So short of possessing Ryu, or maybe a Ryu clone that is genetically identical to Ryu (or modified to be superior?), he’ll never really reach his full potential. A Bison in possession of Ryu’s body would hypothetically be the strongest street fighter in existence, short of possibly Ingrid IMO.

Given how Shadaloo seemed to have access to the latest and best technology in SF, it wouldn’t surprise me if something like the Tanden engine or FSE were almost miniature Psycho drives. Who knows, The only people carrying said equipment are those seth cones (which are under bison’s control) and Juri. Juri still has yet to reveal her full power and the dolls seem to be replacing the shadaloo dolls.

As for Possession of Ryu’s body…Does he still care? That surely can’t be his plan still? I’m sure his scientists can whip up another body that’s on par or better then ryu’s. Who knows though.

This could explain why Bison showed interest in Juri’s eye in his ending. Seth took the Tanden Engine (a product of Shadaloo/Bison) and miniaturized it further, small enough to fit into an eye socket yet still supremely powerful. These engines definitely have similar properties to the old Psycho Drive, but I doubt they are nearly as powerful otherwise Bison would make the Seth clones his permanent residency instead of cloning his own body over and over again.

I believe Bison still cares for Ryu’s body. It is implied in his SF4 prologue when Bison says “It’s only a matter of time before I make his body my permanent home anyway” - This can only be referring to Ryu.

But you’re right, I think eventually those scientists will create a body as strong or stronger than Ryu’s, this is also implied in his SF4 prologue when the lead scientist tells Bison that this next body would be able to handle the full extent of his Psycho Power before being dismissed by Bison.

Might be. But it’s Bison, his ego is so big that it could be a whole new planet. Plus didn’t Bison specifically make the clones as “backup”. I thought he originally wanted to inherit a seth clone body. But didn’t bother at the time since he wanted to snuff out seth.

Same here my friend. Looks like our main got a high dosage of hype for SFV!

Out of every new aspect of him shown in the trailer, the one i’m most impressed about really is his teleport speed. It looks like he threw charlie almost instantly after he teleported. He looks very agile and rushdown oriented. It’s crazy how powerful every character looks when using v-trigger, I feel like each individual character will be an onion of layers in SFV. Hyyyyyyyyype
