Great finale. Alice is probably the baddest chick alive. Smart, sexy, all about John, lol. I was waiting for her to address ol’ girl, and she did in such Alice fashion. Anyway I remember when Season 2 was still in production Idris said he wanted to do a Luther movie because he felt that Luther was bigger than just a TV show. Now I just have to not let my wife know that i watched the finale without her (gonna be actin super surprised though, lol)

That was some of the finest television I have ever seen, and probably will ever see. Fucking Fantastic!
The presence and dynamic synergy when Alice and Luther team up is indescribable. The moment Alice is in the scene the dynamic of the entire episode changes on a dime. Without a doubt the best and most Ride-Or-Die chick EVER! Why? Because she’s not just some over-emotional, blindly-faithful lackey, but completely independent and capable. She just chooses to be with Luther.
Alice is so damn badass she even breaks the 4th Wall by clearly identifying what I said about Mary earlier. She doesn’t fit in Luther’s world, she’s a pixie archetype through and through. I was surprised Alice was so keen on saving her, but now it all makes sense. Whatever Luther cares about, she won’t touch, even if its the bane of her existence. The best part for me wasn’t the handholding scene, but when Alice slightly winced at the gun to her head almost like saying “C’mon now, not necessary…”. It was perfect acting, not true fear, more like bewilderment, which someone with no deep emotion would react.
Like I said before, if the series ended with Luther quitting and moving on, I can make peace with that. Especially with that ending.
MASSIVE PROPS to Neil Cross, the creator and sole writer for the entire series. He’s on God status now.

I was disappointed in Alice when she admitted killing her recently deceased husband.
Why so? she just wanted to know what it would be like to be a widow…lol
Because her good looks, charm and intelligence made me forget who she truly is.
The only reason why it didn’t perturb me so much was because this late husband could’ve anyone and possibly twisted himself. I just figure whoever could amuse Alice for so long was probably some former KGB Russian mafia boss or a dictator*.

- I agree. Erin shouldn’t have walked. Erin still got the John nod at the near end of it all INFRONT OF MARY. Not sure if this was a setup ploy by Luther to get Erin to completely turn on Stark or he really felt that way about Erin all this time.
