That’d be a cute addition. Linn is from a movie-based game yet they regard her as a true original, that’s just adorable. They should bring her back somehow, perhaps place her in a new franchise altogether.
Magneto isn’t strictly better at keepaway than Gold Arthur, but that’s the only thing that Arthur can do, so in practice random disruptors are more “threatening”.
I’d rather fight against XF3 Magneto than XF3 Arthur, though.
What good is Gold Arthur when it only lasts 20 seconds (I’m not sure of the exact time frame), and Magneto is like that the entire match? Also I’m not entirely sure how disruptors can be random, outside of say doing it point blank perhaps.
I mean shit, you can normal jump away golden arrows. Not exactly ‘threatening’ either.
I’ll admit that XF3 Arthur is fun. Kinda.
I like popping people in the air and then throwing a golden axe and watch them fall all the way down to only be extended in that same combo :D. Thats defintely my favorite part of xf3 gold arthur because he’s like roadrunner fast.
Actually, depending on the combo you do into the AHVBx3 it rarely kills all by itself. If you’re just talking the super itself, it probably won’t kill.Ironically, it also did MORE damage to Sentinel,Juggernaut and Blackheart because they were so big that if you mashed on it hard you’d get more hits than with any other character.
I don’t think it needs to be nerfed and I totally agree with Spider-Dan, that if they put Cable into the game as he was in MVC2 he’d probably suck. Too many characters with teleports and everybody has some kind of air mobility. Also, everyone would do more damage than him and require less meter. If anything he’d need to be buffed since keepaway is generally more work and in this game 1 fuckup would be his death (especially if they use XFactor) and you’d need to build your team around him to make him useful at all so losing him would leave you with 2 support characters.
I agree with everyone that wants him in the game. This game needs characters with more diverse strategies and Cable keepaway would add to the mix. Scrubs would complain that he’s hard to advance on, but scrubs complain about any character that isn’t beaten by "dash forward and low L repeatedly " or “jump in and hope for a launcher” .
I hear Niitsuma likes his favorite girls weak so they don’t fight back.
But seriously, I don’t understand why they’re so underpowered here, especially when they have potential to be unique and viable (Felicia’s kind of in a hard spot here because of Wolverine, though she does have some unblockables apparently; can any Felicia players confirm this? I, like, never fight them). Way to represent a series that is on the verge of making a comeback and instead, generating complaints over “stupid anime girl series” and “wasted spots.” And I really like Hsien-Ko.
Now I know that Hsien-Ko could fill a unique role with proper attention, but what about Morrigan? Yes, she has fly/unfly stuff, but would she still be outclassed by Zero even with a damage buff?
I wouldn’t mind BoF2 Nina in this game. Just be prepared for the inevitable wave of “HOLY SHIT WE GOT ANOTHER GIRL CHARACTER BAWWWWWWWW”
How would she play? Keepaway? It’s been forever since I’ve played a BoF game.
I’d say she would fight like a Storm/Dorm with the ability to use fire, ice, lightning and wind (of course). No teleports but yes flight (again fairly obvious). Oh and she had a ton of traps too in BoF5, which would translate easily over.
For normals, Nina has usually used a wand but it’d make more sense to have magic-powered normals like she had in BoF2 and like Dormammu has now. Since 15-hit wooden wand combos would just look ridiculous. Here’s hoping that Capcom finally gives Breath of Fire some love, it’s been nearly ten years.
Morrigan doesn’t really compete with Zero for a team slot though, she competes with Trish/Storm/Magneto. She’s one of the all around characters that can run/zone/rush, and her damage is pretty much on par with Trish and Storm, just not the effort required to get it. And woe be the player who forgets to hold down when pushing H on the ground, because a single stand H pretty much means you’ll be lucky to break 500k in that combo. I just wish people would stop coming along and saying stuff like “Astral Visions is super underrated and when it gets figured out properly Morrigan will be amazing!”, because it has been figured out, and it’s actually amazingly overrated.
Character apologists are the most amusing people on any forum. They claim X character is slept on and can do all these amazing things, despite all the evidence to the contrary, because of some theoretical tech they made up in their basement.
Somewhat of a random thought here. Super MvC3 needs super buffs for about half the cast. How awesome would it be to not have you team/fav characters be called garbage every 3 seconds!!?

That’s a lvl 1 hyper right there son. My Capcom wishlist is Ryu, Nina and Megaman X. Wouldn’t give a fuck about the Marvel side with that. Maybe Cyke and Beast (Someone brought up mobile grappler and me me think that this would be awesome).
when is ComCon?
MvC2 Cable has to deal with the same shit except on a far more aggressive and far more annoying level. It would probably be easier for Cable in MvC3 because no one can run away in the air above him like MvC2 Storm and a lot of the action takes place on the ground which is where Cable wants you to be. Yes teleporters would be a problem for him, but in MvC3, who doesn’t have a problem against teleporters? It’s not that much of a problem for the character in relation to the rest of the cast. The lack of a reliable AA (AA’s took a too bigger nerf in this game) is probably the only weak point I see (not including things like removal of guard breaks), but the nerf to movement and the overall flexebility of the game gives Cable more time to think and more time to react helipng reduce the need for it, balancing it out.
Overall I think MvC2 Cable, with a few obvious changes, could end up one of the strongest zoners in the game. He actually has the tools characters like Chris or Deadpool need to be that little bit more effective against the top tiers, as he controls a wider veriety of space and has more oportunities to deal damage. Any possible nerfs he might recieve by being translated over to MvC3 would likely not be enough to cripple him so badly that his strong points can’t make up for it. Look at Storm, she lost the ability to build meter off whiffs, run away in the air, freedom to combo after LS, she lost speed and priority on her tri-jumps. One thing she gained is the DHC trick, and even though her mix-ups aren’t as wild as in MvC2, she’s still mid to upper-mid tier, at worst. She can still compete for sure.
Cable could and would work in MvC3, imo he’s exactly what zoners are missing from this game.

July 21-24 is when comic con is.
I can’t survive that long. I don’t want to get hyped because I don’t want to be disappointed, but I wanna get hyped because it’s mahvel.
I hope they announce Asura, from Asura’s Wrath. An over-the-top character in an over-the-top fighter? I shall shit diamonds.
god i can image the pure salt storm if nothing happens at comic con
Why does everyone automatically assume that there will be a re-release?
It would only be a salt storm because when people ask about any new Marvel updates like they promised Capcom does that “I cant speak on it…very soon you’ll see!” shit.
So you cant blame people for expecting something at Comic Con when they just drag the shit out for no reason. I just wanted to feel like Capcom is making an effort to keep the hype for the game up with the DLC content AS PROMISED. So I mean…
Believe me, some of us are used to it. (Spike Vide Game awards 2010, Capcom saying the list was fake and to stay a “true believer”)
