Strider has no reps.
Dormammu without Dr. Strange and Spidey without, well… anyone is pretty messed up. I’d like to see either Carnage, Mysterio or Doc Ock in the game.

It’s true he is similar, I never really noticed until now. But, he is more versatile, at least I think so, and yeah, he is faster, which helps his pressure game a lot. Also, his “charging star” doesn’t blow through projectiles if I remember correctly.
Plus, he has a divekick and a teleport, although I don’t think Moon Knight would have one.
At least Dormammu has Shuma-Gorath to hang out with. Still, Doc Strange needs to be in this game anyway. He’s too awesome.
Dr strange will never be in this game he would play just like dorm , plus he is on the dislike list at marvel , they seem to make the character weaker every year , he ain’t even sorcerer supreme any more ,

2 megaman reps tron and zero
I am constantly forgetting Tron exists. I’ll go fix that.
That and a boomerang that hits on the way out and the way back.
Dude, I was there. The only discussion going on was about the list. That was all there. The forum split into pro-Lupinko and anti-Lupinko, everyone got salty, and everyone was beginning to be very negative. Whereas before, with TGS and comic con there was genuine hype and the atmosphere was really positive.
And what’s with all the Phoenix Wright hate? Never even played his game and I can see why he’d make a fun fighting game character.
Would be so sweet. Mysterio with smoke bombs and teleports. Carnage with axe hand rekkas. Doc Ock as an Omega Red/Dhalsim hybrid. Strange could do anything he wants as long as I get to put him up against Shuma and Dorm with some epic pre-fight dialogue: “By the Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth, fuck this shit.”
That doesn’t mean that hyped died, that’s just an argument. I was also hear, it was the leaks from various sources that made everything exiting, nothing the way you described your earlier post.
The “i never played his game and i still think he would do good” is a bad argument. It makes me think that you actually have played this game and you want him in and that “i never played his game but he sounds fun” line is just an attempt to have a bit of weight. Sorry… but Phoenix wright is obviously a bad choice… it’s a troll choice. a slap in the face for us guys who’ve been demanding this game for 10 years… us guys who’ve played MVC since the 2000’s know that he would be a joke and the “hahaha” should just be reserved later After other good characters. It would be bad for PW to get in over strider, commando, megaman x, jin, gene, and even older school fighters from Dark stalkers. He only fits well with an SSB concept kind of game.
the only place you would find a PW train is in gfaqs.
so judging your description of the spidey villains:
Mysterio- Smoke
Carnage- Nightwolf
Doc Ock- Goro
Strange would be so badass in this game. I’d also love to see Onslaught back in the game as a hidden boss or something. MAKE IT HAPPEN CAPCOM
BEHOLD MY MIGHTY HAND! UUUOOOHHH! UUUUOOOOH!
Vergil would be a good edition to mvc3 man and since capcom had made the trend of having 3 chars from a series RE, SF, DS, I don’t see why the hell not, almost everyone uses Dante and Wesker… Trish, Jill, and Chris not so much, having someone like Dante but not Dante would seem appropriate for those who don’t want to choose taskmaster…the game needs more “all around” characters maybe then everyone wouldn’t have to rely on that “godlike” assist or fuck it I’ll pick Phoenix…and instead have that team feel. Like take for example Twisted Jago’s team Wesker/Dante/Trish…it’s not THE BEST team out there but if used correctly it’s very good and as well as besides Wesker really neither character seems OP on level 3 XF, you still have to work to get in and you can’t go around spamming homing projectiles all day
There was nothing except that one tedious argument. And there were no ‘various’ sources, just Lupinko, and either you followed him as a God or you hated him with a passion. And lol at the elaborate reasoning as to why I think he’d be fun. There is nothing innately wrong with him as a choice, it’s just aesthetic taste. Mechanic wise he can be anything Capcom want. There’s no pre-existing archetype he needs to fill. He’s just not a ‘serious’ character, he’s pretty out of left field like say, Tron Bonne. That’s why I think he’d be fun. I’d like to see non-fighting game characters re-imagined as a fg character.
It’s a shame Galactus is so retardedly easy to beat.
Take Phoenix out of the playable roster, make her a boss instead.
Also give Spencer his shoulder bazooka from the NES version of BC as a new move.
Seriously why should they? Isn’t it much more important that they give us someone that are well designed, interesting, unique and adds to the game? One major issue I do have with the Capcom cast is that they have too little villains, more Weskers from their side is certainly welcomed. But then, the issue with Vergil is that we already have too many swordsman and too many bloody cheapass teleporters too, if they add in the Strider that everyone wants I am not sure if we should add in more.
Incorrect. Juggernaut is most definitely needed.
Personally speaking, I want Colossus, Nightcrawler, or Archangel if we see more X-Men reps… I used to love Colossus, and if he was in this game, I’m sure he would be given more options. A smaller, faster version of the hulk with super armor without crazy damage output, but more combo ability.
Hold on there. Those smash updates were a hype killer for me. I literally was hyped the whole time before the game came out and i looked at every daily update. When I finally played smash all my interest in playing that game died off real fast.
The fact that i knew almost everything about the game before it came out made me hype as hell. But after a couple of weeks of playing brawl, i just went meh.
That says more about you than the strategy, though. And hype after the fact isn’t really in their hands (aside from post-release updates). But you raise an interesting point:
There are people who rather kick it way oldschool and hear nothing until a few months before the game drops (last year’s WWE SvR did this to no observable slack in sales). Some people want information in a steady trickle to satisfy their thirst (Smash). Some want sparse yet huge updates when they drop (MvC3, SSF4).
People have different reactions to these types, and you can’t win them all. And yeah, there was a time when we got *shit *but an article in GamePro magazine, maybe two, and then the game released. Times have changed since then, but it does paint a perspective. Hell, we used to get the full roster of a fighting game *before *launch - there was little in the way of ‘character trailers’, and only secret characters were… kept secret. It wasn’t even a big deal, just a column in some magazine: ‘Here Are the Fighters!’
<- i want to main this so badly…
if vergil does get in, i’ll use X-23/vergil/akuma as mt second probably.
Dude this whole argument sums up to 2 choices
A) If youre interested enough and want to know newer information about whatever topic youre going to be checking the appropriate news source regularly.
B) Not want to know the information so it doesnt spoil your initial enjoyment or surprise new factor of the game, so if you happen to hear something or figure something out it’s still “new” to you.
It’s all personal preference.
Me personally…Yea I cared who got put in the game, but that’s because I cared more about …okay so is the character I like good? I was more interested in Team building, and combos and stuff, basically more interested in how I would/should adapt to the game. There’s always gonna be characters you like and dont like, but you’ll find who works for you, or you wont play it. Simple as that.
