Lupinko says there will be a Super MvC3 [rambling and dreams: enter at your own risk]

I believe Arthur was the fourth reveal.
Yeah, that was a pretty awesome day.

Highlights:
-Capcom knows that fans want more.
-When asked about the empty character select slots, he gave the answer that there might be more than two filled.
-When asked when we’d get more info, he said “soon”, before mentioning Comic-Con and Evo.
-Two most requested characters, according to Killian, are Strider and Phoenix Wright.

I figured Strider and PW would be on the tops. Imagine if PW is in and is a top-tier character. Imagine the forum rage that will happen.

The last two weeks of July are going to be get crazy…

I really hope Phoenix Wright isn’t in this game. :expressionless:

Yeah, I feel like it’s a waste of time. Once PW fans see him, they’ll be like YES and then just move on because they may not take the game seriously.

Isn’t Megaman X the most requested Capcom character?

Sounds like it’ll be just more DLC characters. I’d rather a super rebalance package like ssf4 with more characters/stages, than just dlc characters.

When the announcement happens I’m going dark. Screw leaks I want actual hype.

Hype doesn’t matter once the game is out and we know what we need to know if you ask me. If you ask me, hype could end up ruining things for some people.

Hype is the best thing for pre-release, once upon a time that’s how we lived. Now some dick online thinks he’s doing a service by dropping info online. I mean, why not developers just chronicle everything about their work online? I mean, it would interesting to see that once, but c’mon…

And it’s not our call to imagine who hype would ruin things for. People are people.

Yeah, I know. I lived it too, I’m just saying in the long run it’s useless because once everythings revealed and we’re playing it, all the hype and speculation won’t matter at all. I mean, it was fun making bets and waiting up for the next reveal, but after a while I grew tired of Capcom stringing out the reveals/information (it was a little over a month between the NYCC reveals and the Shulk/Zero reveals, with absolutely no shred of info in between).

I can understand it makes people interested or whatever, and I guess it’s just me being a little selfish I guess. I just… don’t care. Because nothing matters until we get the finished product. In my opinion.

the hype didn’t die because of leaks… what are you talking about?

Eddie Brock as anti venom with healing powers and level 5 resurrection. Lulz will be had for all

I can understand that in the long run it doesn’t matter. But pre-release campaigns are a tricky dance. There’s entire plans made out for that sort of thing, and whether we like the approach or not, I don’t think it’s anybody’s place to subvert it and spoil it for us and especially the company. Surprise birthday parties being secret may not matter after the fact, but you don’t wanna be the guy who spoils it.

Lupinko doesn’t work for Capcom. He’s just somehow getting information from them way early.

Then again, even if that suprise was spoiled, you’d still be having a good time during the party itself. To the point where the suprise doesn’t even matter any more.

maybe lupinko’s dad/uncle works for the video game industry which is why he gets the info so early and accurate.

After the fact, sure. But that’s not the point. Point is, pre-release campaigns are a part of the plan.

You’re totally banned from gifts under the Christmas tree, btw.

Ehhh, I guess I’m just not in the mood to be strung around by Capcom by another hype train. I get it’s business, but holy hell is it annoying. Half truths, lies, disconfirms, disspointment, arguements and anguish is all that comes from hype.

Capcom should adopt a new plan that lays all the cards on the table and gives us information on it until release. In my opinion.
