Lupinko says there will be a Super MvC3 [rambling and dreams: enter at your own risk]

It’s our fault as consumers, you know, for continuing to buy products that are half-complete, KNOWING the finished one will come later, and for more money.

MvC3 did not deserve a 60 dollar pricetag. It didn’t even have a spectator mode. The online system is the worst I’ve ever seen. The story mode was mediocre, and there wasn’t much to the game at all. It’s a bare-bones fighters at its best. And even as that it doesn’t feel complete…

can you link the movelists you made? Im curious to see how gambit/cyke fit with the 3 attack scheme.

how sure is this Super MVC3 anyway? i’m more of doubt on it being released, in reality.

SF4 vanilla had no spectator mode, same amount of story mode (hence it’s an arcade mode).
And yet most of us dropped more bucks for SSF4, ok is was a discounted price but who says SMvC3 won’t be? (assuming it’s real)
If you didn’t want to spent 60 bucks on something you don’t like than you shouldn’t have.

Finished products? hell all new/yearly the NHL’s Maddens, Smackdown vs RAW’s and World of Warcrafts are updates of an existing game.
(MvC3 had enough characters for a core fighting game imho)
It’s business, companies are here to make money period, if a game does decent there’s bound to be DLC or a followup.

It was already good… now it’s better

Obviously if Capcom is happy with the sales number of MvC3 a new MvC game of some type is guaranteed. The key here is that they expected MvC3 to sell 2 million worldwide, I am quite sure they have not met that target so far, although I do suspect that they aren’t completely unsatistified with how the game has sold.

Lost in data heaven, maybe. Since the site’s revamp many old threads are hard to find. I’ll give it a try but I doubt it’ll show up.

Can’t find the Gambit one, but I found Cyke. In fact that thread has most of the ones I did, including Ken and Sheva Alomar.

The game passed the 2 million mark months ago and it received great reviews. Most of the people I have heard the negativity from are fans/players but I think every game is eventually going to be scrutinized and loathed by a portion of their community no matter how well it does. Hell, I heard someone complain and say MK9 had TOO much content for its own good. And MvC fans says opposite about their game. It’s comical almost but you can’t hate Capcom in today’s industry. Like Diek pointed out a few post above, at least they aren’t like EA whoring the Madden series or how Activision did with Guitar Hero.

MvC3 sold 1.2m ish across both platforms according to VGchartz.

How about HYPER Marvel vs Capcom 3? I like the zing it has.

I dig that if it’s said in the Captain America voice from MvC3. (when he says Hyper stars & stripes/charging star) He sounds pretty epic, I don’t know if it’s different in the english voice options.

Kei

gambit was just “KINETIC CARD KINETIC CARD KINETIC CARD KINETIC CARD” and spamming those jump around mix-up attempts tf you talkin about

Gambit was all about breaking hearts and breaking cabinets. Can anyone find that one video of these two guys playing MVC2, where one guy keeps crashing the cabinet with Gambit glitch and the other guy absolutely RAGES? It’s fucking hilarious, but I can’t find it. :frowning:

HAHAHAHA there is another one where this dude has his friend videotape him going into an arcade and playing MvC2 where he does the Ruby Heart freeze glitch against some fat dude. “I WANT THAT GUY BANNED FROM THIS ARCADE!”. Hilarity ensues.

thanks

Ah yes, truly a classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKEwtJPFn0o

EDIT: Oh shit, it’s the same fucking guy. I never even realized: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYSx_8culQc&feature=related

"You try that Gambit glitch again I’m gonna punch you in the face."
That is some hardcore trolling. That needs to be Cable’s pre-fight dialogue with Gambit in SMVC3.

oh god that was so funny

Those jump around mix-up attempts is why I think Gambit would be a great character in MvC3. Cyclops would be far too predictable and not someone who would do well in this game unless they make his Optic blast overpowered. Which would be a big turnoff.

If they made Gene Splice half as good as it was in MvC2 as an assist he’d see action, guaranteed.

They wouldn’t make Gene Splice half as good as it was in MvC2. All anti-air assists would have to be nerfed badly in MvC3.
